German death metallers September Murderer are going to release their new album, "He Who Invokes Decadence," on June 17th (Europe) and June 18th (worldwide).
The CD was produced by Jens Martinek at his Schmiedeberg 7 Studios in Rübeland, Germany and was mastered in early 2013 by Peter Neuber at Mega Wimp Sound, Berlin, who has previously done work with Nasum, Vomitory, and War From A Harlots Mouth. Christian Herzer of GUULarts has taken the lead on the artwork again. The track listing is as follows:
1. Under Severed Skies
2. Two Culprits, One Oath
3. Among Vultures
4. From Adoration...
5. ...To Deterrence
6. May Conviction Force Reckoning
7. In Celebration Of Mankind's Wretchedness
8. He Who Invokes Decadence
Vocalist Oliver comments on the lyrical direction of the album: "'He Who Invokes Decadence' is more than just a classical death metal parole. The title of the album allegorizes the cry for the most aggressive form of human affection - charity. Man's abasement of morality and violation of borders between the societal credo and the implicitness of its forcible participation are essential topics of the lyrics on this long player." More...
September Murder has launched a stream of "In Celebration of Mankind's Wretchedness," which comes off the band's upcoming second album "He Who Invokes Decadence." Give the song a listen in the player below.
The band comments: "We've been working on our second album for the past two years. It took one year to write it and another on for the recordings and final production. By giving you first tangible information, we feel proud and relieved at the same time. This album turned out as the stiffest piece of work we've ever dedicated to, but rarely did a result inspired and spurred us likewise.
"Concerning our own concept of sound and song writing we wanted to tear down self-set boundaries and conquer new paths. Of particular importance was to push our creativity to the next level to show also ourselves in what degree we matured in our work and what our own musicality can offer us."
September Murder have posted the following statement online announcing the departure of bassist Guntar Elsaser from the group.
"This development is neither a result of arguments nor of other discrepancies, but of Guntar's lack of time and possibilities in the future to share the stage with us. As much as he and of course we wished for this, it is impossible for him to accomodate professional and private issues in a way that enables him to be part of the band further on."
