No Cure Premiere New Single & Music Video
Straightedge deathcore outfit No Cure has premiered a music video for their song “The Basement Beneath The Fountain,” which is set to appear on their upcoming EP, I Hope I Die Here. This band uses the EP as a conceptual homage to their home state of Alabama, embracing both its beauty and its darker undertones.
Vocalist Blaythe Steuer offered a cryptic comment about the track, which features Kayhan Vaziri (Wretched Blessing/Yautja):
“This is a normal song. Don’t worry about it. There is no reason to be alarmed. That’s just what it sounds like. 33.50074° N, 86.79610° W.”
For those curious, the coordinates point to the Five Points South fountain in Birmingham, AL—a location tied to the song’s themes. The fountain, commissioned by a grieving mother in memory of her murdered son, has a complicated history, including controversial allegations of ties to Satanic imagery.
The music video reflects this layered narrative, incorporating imagery of the fountain and its significance.
Now signed with SharpTone Records, No Cure will release I Hope I Die Here on December 6th. The EP is packed with collaborations from prominent figures in Alabama’s hardcore scene.

MyChildren MyBride Comments On Cancelled Show
MyChildren MyBride has issued the following statement about not performing during the band's previously schedule appearance at Heavenfest:
"To all our friends, fans, and supporters that came out to see us at Heavenfest this year, we're deeply sorry you didn't get to see us play! There was a huge misunderstanding, and miscommunication between the festival and our booking agency which made us miss our set time.
"Upon arrival at the festival we tried ALL DAY LONG to get them to let us play on any stage they could fit us on. The staff tried relentlessly, but unfortunately it just didn't happen. We came, set up merch, got to see a lot of our friends bands play, and had an amazing time!
"Again... So sorry if you missed us! We can't wait to play Heavenfest next year, I promise we won't be late!"
MyChildren MyBride has also released a new music video for the song "God of Nothing," which is available online at this location.
MyChildren MyBride Releases New Music Video
Alabama metal powerhouse MyChildren MyBride is excited to share the band's new video for "God of Nothing," taken off the band's recently released self-titled album, premiering today in conjunction with Hot Topic. Check out the video here or in the player below.
"We chose 'God of Nothing' as our premiere video because we feel like it encompasses all aspects of our band, new and old," says MCMB frontman Matthew Hasting. "Fans of metal, hardcore, and nu-metal can all find a part of the song they can really get into! Plus it's one of our favorite, more experimental songs from the self-titled release!"
Produced by Jimmie Myers, the darkly powerful clip finds the band giving a savage performance while doused in black latex paint that, Hasting assures, is much more fun to look at than it was to wear.
"I'm not going to sugarcoat anything, probably one of the worst moments of my life," Hasting laughs. "It was freezing outside, and tons of performance takes made the paint dry in our hair and skin, making it almost impossible to get off. To remove it from my eyes and face, to insure no health hazards, I had to crawl into an ice-cold creek near our shoot at 3 a.m. in 30 degree weather. Definitely will remember this video for the rest of my life. Everyone better watch it!" More...

MyChildren MyBride Streaming New Song
With less than a month to go, MyChildren MyBride is marching toward the release of the band's new self-titled album, available online and in stores everywhere March 13th via Solid State Records.
Today the band has unveiled a new track titled "God of Nothing," which can be heard at this location.
"With 'God of Nothing' we weren't afraid to try something weird and new," explains vocalist Matthew Hasting. "The guys wrote one of the heaviest songs we've ever released as a band and I tried anything and everything vocally. The result is a song that is dark, grimy, eerie and one of our favorites off the new album. Lyrically the song deals with our souls being bought with the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This is the birth of a new possibilities with MCMB and we hope fans like it!"
For MyChildren MyBride, the self-titled album represents a new chapter for the band, and stamps the advent of a refined sound the members have been chasing since MCMB's inception. "That's exactly what this album is, a new beginning," says guitarist Robert Bloomfield. "I really do feel we found our sound. It's definitely MCMB still, but with this new flare that we've all loved and understood but never figured out a way to translate it to our music. I feel like everything we've done as a band all comes together in this one record. It's the best album in our career so far." More...
