Alex Dean Rejoins Architects

Alex Dean, bassist for U.K. metalcore act Architects, has posted the following statement online announcing his return to the band.

"Hey everyone! I’m very happy to be able to say that I’m back!

"Being able to stay at home for the past few months have given my family and I the opportunity adjust to what happened last year and I know it’s done us all a lot of good.

"After missing out on the few tours that the guys did without me I felt pretty bad about not being a part of the band anymore, it was something that I constantly thought about but I knew that I needed to take at least some time off to deal with things back home.

"Now things are moving forward for my family and this is what I need to be doing!

"I also want to thank you all for the support you gave me when it was announced that I was leaving the band, it really meant a lot and helped me through a pretty rough time!

"See you all soon!"

Bring Me The Horizon Drummer Breaks Hand

Bring Me The Horizon drummer Matt Nicholls has posted the following update online, detailing the injury of a broken hand suffered during a game of soccer with members of Parkway Drive and Architects.

"It were a lovely day so members of BMTH, Parkway Drive and Architects decided to play footy and I made the stupid mistake of going in the net. The ball came to me and I knocked it away with my hands and Winston from Parkway Drive clipped my hand with his foot and there you have it, one broken hand.

"I have to see a specialist in Sheffield to see if I need surgery or not but I’m not gonna be picking up drum sticks for about 6 weeks. It was an accident and you know, shit happens but I’ll tell you now, it’s the last time I wear gardening gloves in the net!"

Architects drummer Dan Searle will be temporarily filling in for Nicholls for the remainder of the band's tour dates.

Architects Bassist Comments On Leaving The Band

Ali Dean, former bassist for U.K. metalcore act Architects, has posted the following statement online explaining his reasons for leaving the group:

"I just wanted to say a few things to make sure my reasons for parting ways with Architects are clear. I'm not going to go into any great detail, as I'm sure you'll all understand that my reasons for leaving are of a personal nature.

"My family suffered a pretty huge loss recently and as a result, I can no longer commit myself to this band to the extent necessary.

"Playing in this band and spending the past five years of my life with these four guys has been extraordinary. I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to be in a band and travel with these guys, and to see and do all the things that we've done together. I wouldn't change a thing about the experience. I would love nothing more than to carry on, but I've now got other priorities and commitments which would not be right for me to ignore.

"Keep supporting these guys, because they're an amazing group of musicians and more importantly they're incredible people."

The band's statement on Ali's departure can also be read here.
