After The Burial To Shoot New Video

After The Burial recently performed to thousands at Bamboozle in NJ, and from there the band headed directly to meet up with Norma Jean, Motionless In White, For The Fallen Dreams and Stray From The Path. Look for them on tour all this month and head over now to this location to view the tour itinerary.

Justin (guitars) checks in with the following report: “Happy to say we're back on the road again! After a stop at Bamboozle festival, which was amazing, we headed straight down to Florida to meet up with our new friends in Norma Jean and Motionless In White, our old friends in For The Fallen Dreams and good buds and labelmates Stray From The Path. We've been having a blast already kicking things off in Orlando on Cinco de Mayo in style by polishing off a 1.75 of 1800 tequila in just a few short hours. We luckily had a chance to do some fishing in the Gulf on our day off near Pensacola a couple days ago, but it was only Anthony (vocals) who had any success at all!

"Just a few short days from now we're meeting up with acclaimed director Scott Hansen in Virginia to film a video for 'Your Troubles Will Cease and Fortune Will Smile Upon You' off of our new album, In Dreams. We could not be more excited to be teaming up with Scott for this. After seeing his work with Animals as Leaders, we know he will be a good match to take this song to an entire new level. We've also just announced our upcoming European dates we'll be doing this June along with our pals in Suicide Silence at our Facebook page, so head over to check them out. Also, be sure to also check out the remainder of the dates we've got this month on the Explosions II Part Deux tour."

The band also recently issued a statement about the delay in releasing the video for "Pendulum," which can be found here.

After The Burial Comments On Video Delay

The Minnesota-based quintet After the Burial has finally broken the silence in regards to the status of the band's new promotional video for the track, “Pendulum,” which is off "In Dreams." The aforementioned video was shot last December, but has since been held up due to legal issues beyond the band's control. A press release from the band reads as follows:

"The general concept of the video was to have the band invade an all girls Catholic school and give them all the opportunity to have some uninhibited fun. Throughout their performance in the school's gym the director and other various crew members encouraged the girls to let loose and go wild to accompany the chorus of the song where the band yells 'we lose control.' Well, apparently some girls took everything a little too far by grinding on each other, in addition to displaying other inappropriate lewd conduct, creating an environment that got the conservative Catholic chaperones on the set into a frenzy. The director's production company was since hit with a cease and desist notice essentially delaying the release of this video."

In the meantime, you can check out stills from the shoot now exclusively at the band's Facebook page.

After the Burial will be performing at Bamboozle in NJ this Sunday and will head directly from there to meet with director Scott Hansen (Alesana, Animals As Leaders) to shoot a new video for the track “Your Troubles Will Cease and Fortune Will Smile Upon You.” Look for the band on tour throughout May with Norma Jean, Motionless In White, For The Fallen Dreams and Stray From The Path.

After The Burial Posts New Remix Online

After The Burial has posted a new remix of its track "Pi" online. You listen to the song in the player below. The band commented on the track by saying:

"'Pi' was written and recorded only a few days before the completion of the Master copy, at around 10 am, with a couple of serious hangovers. Justin and I had talked about having a classical guitar intro into some sort of heavier riffage, but we weren't quite sure what that was exactly going to be."

After The Burial Discusses New Album

After The Burial recently released the new album "In Dreams," and in celebration of the release the band has teamed up with Guitar World to post a new audio snippet featuring guitar sections from the album. Guitarists Justin and Trent also provide in-depth commentary to accompany each part at this location.

Guitarist Justin Lowe also stated: "Hey guys, it's been a long time coming and we are proud to say that our new full-length album, In Dreams, hits stores everywhere today. I must admit, this has been quite the experience for us. There were some ups and also some downs, but we have worked with each other to overcome everything that was holding us back ultimately emerging as a much stronger group. With that being said, we are absolutely pleased to deliver this recording to you. We worked extremely hard to ensure you are getting the absolute strongest After the Burial album yet.

"We're also really looking forward to get back on the road to support this new album throughout North America. The relentless touring schedule for the remainder of the year and 2011 kicks off as part of the 'December Decimation' tour with Winds of Plague, Carnifex, War of Ages and Upon A Burning Body on Nov. 26th.
