Boston deathcore/metalcore outfit On Broken Wings premieres a new song entitled "Kunomuia", taken from the upcoming new album "Disintegrator", which will be out in stores August 19 via Artery Recordings.
Check out now "Kunomuia" below.
Boston metalcore band On Broken Wings is set to finish recording the tentatively titled "Summer Solstice" this fall at Darkside Audio. Darkside Audio is the recording studio owned and operated by guitarist Mike McMillen. The new album will be the proper follow-up to 2005’s "It’s All A Long Goodbye," as 2007’s "Going Down" was a re-release of the band’s 2001 debut "Number One Beautiful" with four new songs. A recurring theme for each of the former releases, including 2003’s "Some of Us May Never See The World," was the addition of "I Do My Crosswords In Pen" on each release. When asked whether or not the track would appear this time around, Mike McMillen laughed and commented, “No, that song is done!”
However the tracks featured on the "Summer Solstice" Single, "Crowns Meant For Kings" and "Ego Ideal," will be on the forthcoming release and offers a glimpse into the band’s current sound, which is the vintage On Broken Wings. The tracks may currently be heard on Facebook, and have received nothing but positive feedback since they were released. The two track single may also be purchased from iTunes.
On Broken Wings toured with Bring Me the Horizon, Parkway Drive, Deez Nuts, and Architects in 2011. Thus far in 2012, On Broken wings has played the Jamboree 3 music festival and the 2012 New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.
The first annual Fall Brawl will be held on Friday, November 7th in Toledo, Ohio at Club Bijou. Tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the door. Acts slated to appear include:

Endwell has been kicked off of The Mosh Lives Tour that Emmure is headlining. Here's and update from the band:
"First off, we want to apologize to everyone who was planning on coming out and seeing us on the MOSH LIVES tour but unfortunately as of yesterday (Tuesday May 27th) we have been kicked off of the tour because of a T-Shirt....yep that's right. Apparently some people can't take a joke. We were stoked for this tour and looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and playing some fun shows. Without getting into all the details well leave it at this; some of our good friends receive an email from a certain Tyrant telling them that if we weren't removed from the tour immediately that they would have hell to pay and the outcome was us being asked to leave the tour. We basically drove 30 hours straight to meet up with the tour in Texas and now 2 days later were driving 20 hours back home, it was a good waste of a few hundred dollars in gas.
"Needless to say we're beyond bummed....either way you guys should still go out and support the Mosh Lives tour. There are some great bands and its a great show everynight. We want to thank Recon, After The Burial, Ligeia, Emmure and On Broken Wings for being cool dudes and hopefully we'll get back out there with a few of you again at some point.
"All in all this is just another bump in the road and were not gonna let it slow us down. Our new EP (Revenge Is A Healthy Motive) came out today on Itunes and through our online store, were heading up to Canada in 2 weeks with our pals in MEANS and OCEANS and then right after that we head out on a FULL US tour with Stray From The Path and The Ghost Inside starting in Cali in July. Can't hold us down.....if any hardcore bands are reading this and wanna go on tour hit us up!!! We're gonna be doin our full length at the end of the summer and we're not looking to be home..EVER!"
You can see the shirt design (which appears to be taking a jab at Victory Records, who recenlty dropped the band) in question that got the band kicked off the tour on their Blogspot page.
Victory owner Tony Brummel previously commented on the band's release:
"There is no drama here. Bands and labels go in opposite directions all of the time. Endwell and I are totally cool and they knew about this last week. They are young guys and understandably a bit shocked still and emotional. They know that I will help them in any way that I can in the future. Who knows, we might even end up working together again."

Massachusetts' On Broken Wings (Eulogy Recordings) has announced plans to disband for an indeterminate amount of time as they focus on other priorities. Here's a statement from the band:
"We have decided to take an indefinite hiatus to work on all the other bands/things we have going on in our lives. We did a lot of tours, played a lot of shows, met a lot of good people, and grew up a lot.
"We all have new bands, some of us more than 1, some of us more than 2 or 3, haha. We will be playing a few farewell shows, so be on the lookout for updates. Our farewell to the West Coast show will be at the Earth Crisis reunion in Ventura, CA on May 5th. This means CA, Vegas, Arizona... move it.
"Make sure you check out all the other projects [Shere Khan, The Confrontation, Everbody Out, etc.] we're working on until we feel like On Broken Wings is ready for new material."
