The Tidal Wave Metal Fest Line Up Announced

The Tidal Wave Metal Festival, born from the now defunct "Making Waves Festival," has announced a tentative lineup for the two-days free event. Celebrating it's 11th year of putting on the heaviest, FREE outdoor music festival on the west coast, Tidal Wave showcases the best thrash, doom, grind, punk, old school metal, etc., that the Bay Area, and beyond, has to offer.

The Tidal Wave is free to concert-goers, completely paid for by banner advertising, sponsorship, donations, and volunteers and is truly unlike any other music festival in existence. The free event is like a picnic in the park, with metal. You may bring whatever you want (dogs, food, coolers, cigarettes, mullets etc. are all ok). There will be raffles for merchandise donated from various sponsors and bands all day all day.

Here is the tentative line-up for The Tidal Wave 2008 festival:

Detente Reissue To Arrive In December

DETENTE's clasic album "Recognize No Authority" will soon be reissued in the USA and Germany by Cognitive Records. The CD will be distributed in the USA and in Germany by Hellion Records. Additional distributors will be announced shortly. The expected release is early December.

"Recognize No Authority" was a critically acclaimed recording that maintains a cult following to this day. It was also the launching ground for nu-metal metal producer Ross Robinson (KORN, SLIPKNOT, FEAR FACTORY, SOULFLY) who plays guitar on the album. The CD also marked the first full-length release by FEAR OF GOD's Dawn Crosby, who sadly passed away on December 15, 1996.
