Toxic Holocaust has issued the following announcement about cancelling upcoming shows due to problems with the tour booking agent:
"Last nights show in Chile was bitter sweet, it was one of the best shows we have ever played but this morning we woke up to an email from our South American booking agent that he would not be coming with us for the rest of the tour.
"That seems like no big deal right? We have done plenty of tours all over the world with out anyone with us....well here's the problem: He never gave us ANY info on what flights we would be taking, how we would be getting to the airport, shows etc. and zero info about the show dates.
"The deal was from the very beginning that he would be with us translating, and helping us along. With hardly any info and only learning about this a couple hours before we were supposed to fly to Argentina made it impossible for us to continue on. More...
The blog Doomed & Stoned has put together an extensive compilation of underground heavy bands in Portland, Oregon, which features Ape Machine's "Angry Man," Blackwitch Pudding's "Swamp Gas Of The Nevermizer," and a whole lot more. The site's founder, Billy Goat, comments:
"Portland, Oregon is known for many things--it's the 'Rose City,' clustered around the mighty Willamette River and nearby Mt. Hood, the home of Nike and the Trail Blazers, even a major network television show called Portlandia.
"But to the hard working locals, Portland is home two the two big things that really matter: brews and bad-ass rock 'n' roll. Doomed & Stoned in Portland is a snapshot of the heavy music scene right now in Portland--from the ever-popular Red Fang, Lord Dying, and Toxic Holocaust, to rising stars such as Sons of Huns, Ape Machine, and Drunk Dad.
"Most of all, here is a collection of bands with a strong DIY ethic--everything from experimental metal to a distinct brand of Northwest punk to the ultra-heavy metal doom giants like Graves at Sea, Usnea, and Stoneburner. Not to mention the bands that just like to "Keep Portland Weird" (Blackwitch Pudding, Pinkzilla, Big Black Cloud). Over 65 bands waiting for you to lend them your ears--and a free download, to boot. You may just discover your next favorite bands."
Toxic Holocaust has issued the following announcement about canceling upcoming tour dates with Skeletonwitch:
"Unfortunately, due to a serious and prolonged ear infection suffered by Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust, the Toxic Holocaust/Skeletonwitch Australian & New Zealand tour will not be happening in April 2014.
"Joel is unwell and recommended by his doctor not to fly till his condition is taken care of. We are truly sorry, but this is something that's out of hands.
"Toxic Holocaust will be rescheduling their tour for November with another U.S. band, whilst Skeletonwitch will now be doing their own headline tour sometime later when time permits in their busy schedule.
"Details about ticket refunds and tour dates coming soon."

Adds Exhumed head mischief maker Matt Harvey, "In our continuing efforts to drive our beloved van into the ground and rack up another several thousand gallons in complimentary beer, we're heading out with our friends in Toxic Holocaust to make some serious noise in 2014. It's shaping up to be a total rager, so come out and rage with us, you won't regret it!" More...

Portland's Toxic Holocaust today offer up another sampling from impending "Chemistry Of Consciousness" full-length with "Out Of The Fire," now streaming below courtesy of MetalSucks.
The album was recorded by the band, mixed with Kurt Ballou (Converge) at GodCity Studio, and mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, From Ashes Rise, Nails) at Audiosiege Engineering.
Elaborates Toxic Holocaust mastermind Joel Grind, "With each record, I like to continue down the same path I've started at but do so without rehashing the same ideas over and over. With Chemistry Of Consciousness, I brought in a heavy dose of punk back into our sound. This record brings influence from bands ranging from Anti-Cimex, Warfare, Infernal Majesty, GBH, Discharge, Autopsy and Chaos UK, just to name a small few. Those bands are just a starting point to give you an idea of what's to come.
"First and foremost, it sounds like Toxic Holocaust, and that is always what's most important to me. Lyrically, I went off with topics I've never explored before. Lots of social and political commentary without trying to be preachy or blatant about it. There's no lyrics like 'the government sucks' or whatever but I was just really pissed off about what I see around me and that's what really fueled a lot of it. There is also a heavy dose of conspiracy and true life war crime topics. Lots of really sinister and evil stuff. Even the songs that seem like they're about one thing on the surface, after delving into them, are actually about something more. I'm anxious to get this record out there and to start touring again!" "Chemistry of Consciousness is the sound of Discharge on speed, Slayer with a punk rock chip on its shoulder, The Exploited on a Metallica overdose. It is the perfect marriage of punk angst and metal guitar hooks. If there's one thing the punks and the heshers will agree on in 2013, it's that Toxic Holocaust's Chemistry of Consciousness is a rager of a record destined to top any worthwhile best of 2013 list. Recommended for devout followers of Municipal Waste, DRI, Sodom, Midnight, GBH etc." More...
Portland’s punk metal combatants Toxic Holocaust recently completed the recording for a forthcoming new full-length.
Titled "Chemistry Of Consciousness," the 12-track beast of an offering was recorded by the band, mixed with Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou at his own GodCity Studio, and mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, From Ashes Rise, Nails) at Audiosiege Engineering.
Elaborates Toxic Holocaust founder Joel Grind: "I'm excited to announce that the new Toxic Holocaust record has been completed. We recorded it ourselves like we did last time but this time around we had our friend Kurt Ballou mix. It's sounding so crushing! Lots and lots of distortion! Musically I went into a more punky territory than the last record while still maintaining the Toxic Holocaust sound. I look forward to everyone hearing it!”
"Chemistry Of Consciousness" is set to deploy this Fall via Relapse Records. Further details – including cover art and track listing - are to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Portland’s punk/metal delinquents Toxic Holocaust recently unleashed a new lyric video for “Agony of the Damned.” Check it out below.
Initially featured on the band’s 2011 "Conjure and Command" full-length, “Agony Of The Damned” makes an updated appearance on the "From The Ashes Of Nuclear Destruction" compilation, set for release via Relapse Records next month.
Elaborates band mastermind Joel Grind: “This version of ‘Agony of the Damned’ was recorded in September of 2010 with a drum machine a few months before we stepped into the studio to record the one that appears on Conjure and Command. When making an album, I usually demo out the entire thing before I step into a studio. This keeps costs low and gives me time to sit with it to iron out the details. Since Conjure and Command was the first Toxic record to feature a full band, this demo served the purpose of familiarizing everyone with the new material and is previously unreleased.” More...
