Devildriver Check-In From Tour

DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez Fafara has posted the following message on the band's official website:

"Hello out there! The dates on this tour have been going amazingly well - especially Monday night's Halloween show in Detroit, which was sold out! Special thanks to the Detroit police department for hanging out with us at Harpo's and showing everyone a good time. No, seriously!

Unfortunately, we woke up the next day to a broken-down bus, forcing the whole band and crew to cram into two mini-vans for the drive out to the next show in Davenport, Iowa - which we did make, by the way!

Thanks to everyone who's been coming out to see us, and hope to see many more of you as the tour moves along - it's been a hell of a ride!"

Lamb of God Takes Break For Euro Shows

LAMB OF GOD have scheduled a brief break in their current writing sessions for their upcoming CD in order to head back to Europe for several select concert appearances. The stint will consist of 16 shows only, all in December of 2005. Support for these appearances will be provided by DEVILDRIVER and THE AGONY SCENE.

"This select run will represent the final concerts of the 'Ashes of the Wake' touring cycle," notes drummer Chris Adler. "It's been an insane year for all of us in the the LAMB OF GOD camp and there is not a better way to end it than to visit Europe again then spend the holidays with our families. We've been writing like crazy since returning home from headlining the Sounds of the Underground Tour and things are coming together very well. I'm not sure if we will be playing any of the new material in Europe, but I won't rule it out. Thanks to everyone who has come out to see us or in any way supported us — we are fortunate to have you on our side and we're looking forward to these upcoming concerts as well as delivering an amazing album in 2006."

Devildriver Will Be Direct Support For Gwar

DEVILDRIVER will be direct support to GWAR on their upcoming North American tour that will also feature A DOZEN FURIES and MENSREA. "Being on the road is where we like to be," says lead singer Dez Fafara. "Out there, meeting our fans and playing the heaviest music we can is our idea of a good time, and that we get to do this with one of our favorite bands in GWAR is just plain awesome."

DEVILDRIVER is touring in support of their sophomore album, "The Fury of Our Maker's Hand", which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Heatseeker's chart. Devildriver's Sophomore Album Charts at #117

The Fury of Our Maker’s Hand, the sophomore album from DevilDriver has debuted at No. 1 on the Heatseeker’s chart with 10,353 albums sold. Called a “mad masterpiece” by Revolver Magazine, the album also debuted at No. 117 on the Top 200 album charts and No. 17 on the Top Hard Rock chart. Says singer Dez Fafara, “we’re really excited about this album. We’re out here working, touring non-stop and we appreciate the fans support.” Currently the band is on the inaugural Sounds of the Underground Tour with Chimaira, Opeth, Lamb of God and others.

The follow up to 2003’s self-titled debut, The Fury of Our Maker’s Hand is a powerful return for DevilDriver. Featuring twelve blistering tracks that dabble in black, thrash, traditional and death metal, The Fury of Our Maker’s Hand is DevilDriver at their best. The album soared to No. 1 on the Metal/College Radio and Specialty charts while the video for the single “Hold Back The Day” has received repeated spins on MTV2 and FUSE. “This album was a labor of love for us,” says Fafara. “We came together as a cohesive unit and created the strongest albums I’ve been a part of. We didn’t worry about what we should sound like, just what we wanted to sound like.” For the creation of the album every member strapped on a guitar, plugged in and wrote the album riff by riff, together. Through those sessions, songs such as “End of the Line,” “Sin and Sacrifice” and “Driving Down the Darkness” poured out.
