Atargatis Seeks New Guitarist and Bassist
ATARGATIS has issued the following update regarding their search for a new bassist and guitarist:
"We are now looking for a creative guitarist and bassist with background vocals, who is dedicated, has got semi-professional ambitions, who can identify with our music and is willing to focus on ATARGATIS and our music. Atargatis Posts "Riven" Live Video
Atargatis has posted a video clip online of the band's performance of the new song "Riven" during the "Welcome Goodbye Festival" in Rübenau. The track is off the new Atargatis album "Nova," and features guest vocals by Matthias Hechler of Crematory. The clip can be viewed below.
Atargatis Streaming Old Song From Early Demo
German Gothic metallers Atargatis have checked in with the following update about streaming an old song online from their 2004 demo album:
"We have uploaded one of the oldest Atargatis songs ever. The Song 'From Sirius' from the third demo 'Divine Awakening.' Guest vocals by Stephan Fiori of Graveworm. We hope you like and enjoy it!"

Atargatis Drummer Joins Morphosys
German metallers Atargatis have issued the following statement about their drummer Shadrak joining Morphosys as a session drummer:
"Atargatis rummer Shadrak joins the German old school death/thrash metal band Morphosys (in the style of old Autopsy / Benediction / Protector) as a session drummer for an indefinite time. He plays the drums until Morphosys find a new constant drummer. check the official MySpace site of Morphosys at this location."

German metallers Atargatis have announced they are canceling their previously confirmed performance alongside Battlelore on November 14th in Langquaid. Atargatis have announced they will spend the remainder of the year writing new material for an upcoming album.

Autumn Announces Rescheduled German Dates
Female fronted Dutch Rockers AUTUMN have announced German tour dates for September, making up the previously cancelled tour earlier in the summer. The band comments:
“We can confirm the new dates for our German tour to promote the Altitude album! The shows will take place from the 4th to the 13th of September. Supporting acts will be announced soon.

Atargatis Parts Ways With Guitarist
Germany's ATARGATIS has parted ways with their guitarist Maximilian Schulz. The band comments on the split: "Due to personal and musical reasons we have split up with our previous guitarist Maximilian Schulz. We wish him good luck for his further musical career. Atargatis Beings Writing Material for New Album
German symphonic dark gothic metallers, ATARGATIS, (featuring vocalist Stephanie Luzie) have started the songwriting process for their third album. The upcoming album will be released in the end of 2009 or the beginning of 2010 via Massacre Records.
Atargatis Added To Wave Gotic Treffen 2009 Lineup
Female fronted German gothic metal band Atargatis has announced that they have been added to the lineup of next year's "Wave Gotic Treffen" festival in Germany. The band issued the following statement on their MySpace page:

Atargatis Reveal 'Nova' Artwork
German dark/symphonic gothic metal band ATARGATIS has revealed the cover artwork of its upcoming album, "Nova", which will be released on October 26 via Massacre Records. The CD was recorded and produced at the Helion Studios (DARKSEED, EQUILIBRIUM) in Munich, Germany. The complete layout and design was created by Katja Piolka (PRIMAL FEAR, RAGE, LEAVES' EYES, DESTRUCTION). In addition to the cover design, the band worked with Katja Piolka on their newest promo pictures.
"Nova" contains ten songs, including a cover of ARMY OF LOVERS' "Crucified". The album includes a guest appearance by Matthias Hechler (Matze) from the German gothic metal heroes CREMATORY. The CD will also be available in digipack format (including two exclusive bonus tracks).
