Swedish metallers The Legion have issued the following statement about the release of their upcoming album:
"We are proud to announce the release of our third album “A Bliss to Suffer” through Listenable Records on the 27th of April. Entirely produced by us band members ourselves at Art Decay Studio during a series of sessions in 2007 and 2008, this onslaught displays the relentless speed and severe brutality of previous efforts blended together with strangely atmospheric and epic elements, taking our lethal concoctions to new heights. We wouldn’t brag without a good reason – this thing will kill you.
"In other news, vocalist Martinsson is back as a permanent member after commitments elsewhere, and celebrates the return with a never-ending row of ghastly shrieks all through the album.
"Last but not least, there is now an official The Legion MySpace site up and running at. This is the only MySpace channel with 100% valid and verified information straight from the band. Excerpts from “A Bliss to Suffer” will be available for streaming listening as soon as possible."
Swedish black/death metallers THE LEGION, who feature in their ranks former MARDUK drummer Emil Dragutinovic, have issued the following update:
"As you might know, we've had our share of difficulties managing the vocal position. And once again we're without a permanent singer. A while ago we and Kjetil [Hektoen] decided to go separate ways. He's been busy with his other bands/projects and simply didn't find the time and devotion required to rehearse with us as much as we wanted. We think it's really sad since we like him both as a person, as well as for his amazing skills vocally. We really wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his time with us and his support in our live performances." More...

We still have a lot of vocal arrangements to deal with but we hope to get started with the recording this spring. We've also been busy upgrading our own studio, Art Decay, since the last album. The plan is to record everything there this time and hopefully this will result in a more dynamic and experimental release. The cover art will once again be handled by Kris Verwimp [MARDUK, ABSU, IMMORTAL]."

On the verge of releasing their new album 'Revocation', Swedish blasters THE LEGION announce line up changes :
" After a long search we have finally found a new vocalist for THE LEGION. He's name is Kjetil Hektoen and he's also known for his participation in Crest of Darkness and Enthral. We have already started to work on material for a third album together with Kjetil and we believe that his contribution to the band will increase the quality in our music on many levels. A big thanks goes out to all the people that has auditioned for us or sent us vocal material. Secondly, we want to announce the departure of our bassist Lars Martinsson. Lars has decided to leave the band to continue with his studies. We wish him the best of luck and thank him for all the years of dedication to the band. Kristoffer Andersson from Sargatanas Reign will be filling in for Lars as a session member."

"The progress of our new album is coming along fine and we're in the middle of recording the last parts. The vocals on this recording are being done, mainly by bassist Lars [bass] and some additional parts by Emil and David [guitar]. We are still not certain who's going to handle the vocals in the future so if you're interested in trying out for us, please send us a mail with some kind of sample where we can hear you scream."

Swedish black/death metallers THE LEGION, featuring current MARDUK drummer Emil Dragutinovic, have issued the following statement regarding the incident over the weekend that resulted in Emil suffering a broken arm and unable to embark on MARDUK's previously announced European tour:
"On Saturday night [February] 12th, our drummer Emil and a close friend to the band was attacked by a group of five immigrants. Emil was trying to protect this friend of ours when a dude with a baseball bat suddenly attacked him. When trying to defend himself from the severe beating he broke his left arm. Emil's friend got seriously maltreated and is now hospitalised. Emil is now in plaster and he's unable to play the drums for some months. This means that the upcoming tour with MARDUK (Emil's other band) gets postponed and the recording of our new album gets delayed for a while too. This really sucks since we've had the new material ready for some time now and we where just waiting for Emil to be done with the tour."

The Legion is completing the follow-up to last year's debut "Unseen to Creation" for France's Listenable Records. 6-7 tracks are written so far and the new material is said to be more intelligent and inventive. Here's a heads up from drummer Dragu, speaking on behalf of the Legion camp:
We' ve really put some thinking behind these new songs and it' ll be interesting to hear what the people has to say about them. It's not really black metal (compared to my other band, Marduk), and it's not death metal; it's hard to put one's finger on what to call it. Well, it's brutal as fuck anyway and I don't think it will disappoint any of our fans.
Be sure to check out the band's web hole at www.legion.nu, where you can listen to a track from the debut album.
The forthcoming tour with IMPALED NAZARENE and THE LEGION has been cancelled. Here's THE LEGION's take:

"We have just finished with the last pieces of our recording session for the upcoming (limited edition) gatefold LP Unseen To Creation. Two bonus tracks were recorded in Art Decay Studio and it's a old song in a completely different version plus a cover with the mighty thrash legends TESTAMENT (Curse Of The Legions Of Death’). We have no release date at this point but it should be out in late February."
