Secrets Of The Moon To Play Hells Pleasure Fest
German extreme metallers Secrets of the Moon will headline this year's edition of Hells Pleasure Metalfest, which is set to take place in Pössneck on July 23rd and 24th. The band commented:
"We want this show to become a very special event for the band and at the moment we work hard to turn ideas and visions into reality. The festival has a brilliant line up to offer (e.g. Mayhem, Sadistic Intent, Deströyer 666 & Count Raven) and we're proud to be a part of it. Secrets Of The Moon Announces Full-Time Guitarist
Secrets of the Moon vocalist sG has issued the following update about their live guitarist Ar becoming a full member of the band:
"After nearly 60 shows with this guy we can assure that he's the right person for this job. We always wanted the band to be complete again but we were careful. He went through a lot of highs and lows, through darkness and light with us. He succeeded and became a grand fellow. The time has come to offer him a permanent position within our circle. welcome!
"I started working on on the follow-up of 'Privilegivm' (working title: seven bells). We are going to enter the studio in summer 2010. I feel it will become a very special album for the band. Much is going to change, much is getting even deeper and disruptive. We are alive. Moreover I worked on some special releases with Stefan Belda (Prophecy Productions). People might not believe in the releases of 'Antithesis' and 'The Ambience of a dead star' on our all-beloved format any longer but it's going to happen soon. And there's even one more oddity to be released. Everything occurs at the right time..."
Maroon Posts New Song Online
Maroon has posted a new song, "Children of the Next Level," from the band's latest album, "Order," on their MySpace player for streaming. The song features Iblis from Endstille and SG from Secrets of the Moon on vocals.
Maroon achieved their first ever chart entry with the release of "Order" by hitting the German album charts at #63.
The Devil's Breath Festival Canceled
Secrets of the Moon have announced that Germany's "The Devil's Breath" festival has been canceled due to health issues with the local promoter. More information on the festival can be found at this location. Secrets of the Moon will still be playing the Hellfest Open Air on June 19, 2010 in Clisson, France.

"After nearly 50 shows we played across this planet I am back home, feeling utterly dead in the most positive sense. the past two months have been an amazing, yet really raw experience for the band. Ups and downs, sickness, storm, no calmness. we spent the last month touring North America and Canada with Moonspell and Divine Heresy. Both bands are truly professional and cool guys. We salute them and our fantastic crew (cartel - tourmanager, phil - stagehand, ringo - busdriver and most important: the amazing jorge pina for his massive technical support!).
"Moreover we want to thank all the fans (present and future) that we met out there, that believe in what we are doing. It's been groundbreaking experience to meet people on the other side of planet earth so familiar with and dedicated to our music... an excuse to the people in kansas city and denver, whose i couldn't bring forth 100% due to the flu that hit me. Actually i don't have any memories from these shows besides for lying dead in my bunk.

Divine Heresy Comments On Tour With Moonspell
As was previously announced, Samael have dropped off the upcoming North American tour with Moonspell and have been replaced by Divine Heresy. Also appearing on the bill are Book of Black Earth and Secrets of the Moon.
Commented Divine Heresy guitarist Dino Cazares: "We have been waiting patiently for the perfect touring opportunity to present itself and we couldn't possibly be more pleased to be direct support to the mighty MOONSPELL this fall. This North American tour is exactly what we were looking for as we wanted a chance to perform in front of a lot of new faces that might not have been exposed to our band. This tour marks the kick-off of a massive worldwide touring campaign to support the new 'Bringer of Plagues' album. "The recording sessions for our new album have been hugely satisfying. In terms of sound, this is the best material we have recorded so far. The songs have reached the level of 'Antithesis' even before being mixed. They have an intense depth and are unpredictable.
"Privilegivm will probably be released in September 2009. Before that, Secrets Of The Moon will make some live appearances in May to present selections from the forthcoming album."

German black metal band Secrets Of The Moon has issued the following update about the recording of their new album:
"I am proud to tell you guys that the writing process on 'Privilegivm' is almost finished. the album in its amplitude is quite a maze at the moment and we are currently trying to find the way out. We are perplexed... like mr. perdurabo used to say in his famous last words.
There is one more song added to the prior posted list and its name is "sulphur pulse". we will record a cover song of a well-known band as well, so there is plenty of material to be recorded with a running time of approx. 80 minutes.
Moreover there are some festival shows to be confirmed and new websites will be launched sooner or later. So there is a lot to come.

Secrets of the Moon Announces New Guitarist
SECRETS OF THE MOON's fourth studio album will be entitled "Privilegivm." The band is currently working on its compositions and will enter the studio in early 2009.
Additionally the band found a successor for guitarist A.D., who quit the band back in July. "We are proud to announce that K.S.A. has joined SECRETS OF THE MOON as a permanent member. His skills and his exigent nature just feel right for the band and he already contributed some extremely good ideas to what will become the new album."
