Desaster To Play Summer Breeze

The upcoming 2012 edition of Germany's Summer Breeze festival will be taking place this coming August 16th - 18th. The festival organizers have issued the following announcement about confirming Desaster for the lineup:

"Unbelievable it's already been nine years since the last time DESASTER played SUMMER BREEZE. Well, it looks like there is some catching up to do in Dinkelsbühl in terms of blackened thrash metal, or thrashing black metal, whatever you want to call it.

"Tormentor and company are bringing along their new album 'The Arts Of Destruction', which proves, uncompromisingly as usual, that even after 24 years of existance no fashion or trend has been able to corrupt the ethics of this Koblenz underground institution.

"As always, the four witchmasters are synonimous with metal true and pure. A feast for all denim cutoff and studded leather fetishists! Nice to see that, among all the plastic imitations of our time, there are still a few originals left."

Desaster Finish Writing For New Album

DESASTER have finished the songwriting process for their upcoming, sixth studio album “666 - Satans Soldiers Syndicate”. This time around the German black/thrashers will be heading over to Holland to record at Harrow’s Studios in Losser. “Bands like the legendary death metal gods ASPHYX and other fine bands like SOULBURN, OCCULT, MELECHESH and FLESH MADE SIN have recorded their albums in this studio. Quite a good selection of bands we’d say”, comments the band. The album will be mixed in June and DESASTER are looking into an August/September release.

“The new songs are a strict continuation of the last few albums, which means NO COMPROMISE! If you are expecting innovative, ambitious music you are 666 % wrong. DESASTER stands for traditional riff metal – thrashy, black and full of blasphemy!”

Song titles include a. o. 'Fade Forever Flesh', 'Razor Ritual', 'Hellbangers' and 'Tyrannizer'.
