Latest Season's End News
Below is our complete Season's End news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.
Bloodstock has six more bands lined up for the Sophie Lancaster stage this year: Leeds metal trio Blind Haze, Italian power/classic metal outfit, Arthemis, sludgy groove beasts Gods, symphonic goth outfit Season's End, Bristol progressive rockers Endeavour and classic rock n’ rollers, Blind River.
The festival's organizers further comment: "We’re also thrilled to welcome back Last.fm as sponsors of the Sophie Lancaster stage for 2017. Check out their Spotify playlist of bands on the Sophie stage and get excited for August!
"Bloodstock's ever tenacious search for the best breaking bands culminates soon with the kick off of the ‘Metal 2 The Masses’ finals on 22nd April. The festival’s incentive to give up-and-coming acts a break by offering slots on the bill at Catton Park has helped give many acts a career launchpad and the finals see the M2TM team narrowing it down and picking their winners for 2017.
"This year, M2TM ran in 29 UK regions, plus events in Ireland and Norway to find bands for the New Blood Stage. Attendees at the finals can also win weekend festival tickets or prizes from our sponsors, Kraken rum and Hobgoblin ale. The lucky bands winning a slot on the New Blood stage will also be in with a chance of landing extra goodies from our friends at Gibson Guitars, Studiomaster & Carlsbro or recording time with Russ Russell at his Parlour Studios in Northampton." Season's End issue the following update:
"In recent months there have been some fine additions to the Season's End roster resulting in an exciting, complete and hopefully permanent line-up. Tim Goatham (guitars) joined the band at the beginning of the year, followed by James Smith (drums & percussion) in September and Mike Bridge (bass) in October. Each member has become a firm creative part the new Season's End sound and the band all look forward to moving into 2008 with more passion and creative energy than ever before. View the latest video blog on YouTube to get to know the newer Season's End members a little better and hear more exclusive snippets of the new material."

MY DYING BRIDE are only the second UK band to have headlined the event, previously SAXON headlined in 2001 and 2003.
The current Bloodstock line-up is shaping up as follows:
AXEL RUDI PELL
MY DYING BRIDE

More bands will be announced over the forthcoming weeks. Tickets (which will be sent out during April) for both shows are available from bloodstock.uk.com.
The lineup is close to finalized for Bloodstock 2005 at the Assembly Rooms on 2nd-3rd September. As it stands, there is a wide mix of Thrash, Gothic, Doom, Heavy, Classic, Femme, Power, Metal, and more. The lineup is looking like this:
Friday 2nd September 2005 (Doors 4.00pm) - BATTLE METAL NIGHT
STORMWARRIOR (+ Kai Hansen exclusive Helloween set)
DARWIN SUITE: More...
Sonata Arctica, Norther, Intense and Season's End are the play Thirteenth Day 2005, a festival that happens at the Birmingham Academy on July 24.
BLOODSTOCK 2005 will comprise 2 separate festivals. The brand new outdoor show BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR ( B-O-A ) will take place on June 24th-25th 2005 at Catton Hall, in the Midlands, with the annual BLOODSTOCK05 – UK Metalfest taking place indoors at the Assembly Rooms in Derby on 2nd-3rd September 2005.
With the indoor festival now having reached capacity within the current location, the next logical step was to find an additional location, and the decision to go outdoors was an easy choice to make as the UK does not have an outdoor Euro-style Metal festival along the lines of Wacken, Bang Your Head and Summer Breeze (DE), Gods of Metal (ITA), Sweden Rock (SWE), Graspop (B), Dynamo (N) and so many more. The current choice of venue, Catton Hall, offers a fantastic location within a rural setting, centrally located within the UK for all areas to reach easily, and yes, camping will be provided. Our initial capacity is for up to 8,000 with further growth at the site to accommodate 20,000 within a few more years. More...
