Static Tension Recordings Releases Compilation
Static Tension Recordings is celebrating the label's one year anniversary by releasing free compilation "Brain Damage."
Containing tracks from the label's first year in business, the album features everything from thrash (Reign of Fury, Biotoxic Warfare, Lucis Absentia, Tormenter) to black metal (Dead River Runs Dry, Curezum) and more.

Sharp Weapons Premieres New Song
Everyone knows that sharp weapons are better than blunt objects (that's why the fighter stands in front of the cleric), and today we're premiering killer album opening track "Eat Another Chord" from none other than Sharp Weapons!
Taken off a self-titled album due out at the end of May through Static Tension Recordings, "Eat Another Chord" sounds a lot like the name implies, with massive riffs on display for fans of High On Fire and Mastodon.

Sharp Weapons Releasing Debut Album
Static Tension Recordings is pleased to announce that they will be releasing the debut album of Kansas City's Sharp Weapons. The album will be released on digital and vinyl formats this coming May 27th, 2016.
Sharp Weapons fuses the sounds of Every Time I Die, Botch, and High On Fire to create an intense combination that kicks you in the teeth.
The well-oiled machine of guitarist Josh Simcosky, drummer Brett Southard, and bassist Justin Mantooth (also a producer/engineer), has been playing together on and off for over ten years in bands such as Auternus, Steal The Sun, Doris and Leering Heathens. Together they serve as the perfect backdrop for gloriously chaotic frontman Jimmy Wing (ex-Runaway Sons).
