Octavia Sperati Issue Update

Norwegian doom rockers OCTAVIA SPERATI have issued the following update:

"On our last UK tour Jan-Åge Svendsen and Tom-Erik Svendsen, from the Bergen based band TEMPLE SLEEP joined us due to the fact that our drummer Ivar's girlfriend, and our bass player, Trine, both were pregnant. We are now proud to tell you that both the children are born, in late January and early February, and all is well with both mothers and children!"

"But, since it is still early days for the newly borns and their parents, we are bringing the same session musicians for the upcoming UK tour this time as well. Jan-Åge and Tom-Erik did a brilliant job for us last time around, and we are very much looking forward to be playing with them again!" More...

Octavia Sperati To Utilize Session Bassist

Norwegian metal band OCTAVIA SPERATI has issued the following update:

"We will be using a session bass player and a session drummer during our upcoming UK tour. Don't worry, there are no problems in the Octavian camp. It so happens that both Trine and Ivar's partner are pregnant. Due to this joyful situation it's impossible for them to tour at the moment.

"The great session musicians we are taking with us are bass player Tom-Erik Svendsen and drummer Jan-Åge Svendsen. They are both experienced musicians from Bergen-based bands TEMPLE SLEEP and THE SOUL EXPRESS ORCHESTRA. We have been rehearsing with them for a while and things are going very well. Hades Almighty To Headline Elements Of Metal Fest

Norwegian black/extreme metallers Hades Almighty have been confirmed to headline the first day of the Elements Of Metal Festival, set to take place December 3-4 in Sandefjord, Norway. Red Harvest will be headlining the second day. Also scheduled to perform at the festival are Guardians of Time, Octavia Sperati, Grand Alchemist, Cutthroat, Lucid Fear, V:28, Harm and Arch Nemesis. More information is available at the festival's web site.

In other news, Hades Almighty will appear on Norwegian national TV, on the program "Metal Blender," on Thursday, November 11 on NRK2.

Hades Almighty have uploaded the video for their song "Submission Equals Suicide" at this location (Quicktime).

"Submission Equals Suicide" comes off the group's recently reissued "forgotten classic," "The Pulse of Decay," now available through Dark Essence Records. The group originally released the album in 2001 through Psycho Bitch Records, the label formed by the band's then-management. That resulted in "no distribution," making it virtually impossible for fans to find the album, according to a posting on the group's web site. Now the CD has been re-released with new cover design, three bonus songs and the "Submission Equals Suicide" video.

Formed in 1992, Hades Almighty are currently working on new material for a tentative early 2005 release.
