Drudkh Streaming Split With Grift

Enigmatic black metal band Drudkh has released "Betrayed By The Sun / Hägringar," a new split album with Sweden's Grift. You can also stream the split below.

As he has done through the band's history to date, Drudkh mastermind Roman Sayenko looks to national poets for inspiration. Lyrical themes this time around are built on the work of Bohdan-Ihor Antonych (1909–1937) in "His Twenty-Fourth Spring," while "Autumn in Sepia" features passages from Mike Johansen (1895–1937).

Drudkh Releasing Split With Grift

Following a recent split with Hades Almighty, Ukrainian black metal group Drudkh today announces a new split release alongside Swedish group Grift.

Titled "Betrayed By The Sun / Hägringar," the split will be released on September 16 worldwide by Season of Mist. Check out the Drudkh offering "His Twenty-Fourth Spring" in the player below. The full track listing is as follows:

Grift Reveals New Album Details

The harbinger of southern Swedish melancholy has returned: Erik Gärdefors, the mastermind behind Grift, finally invites you to take part of his enthralling new album, “Syner," due out September 18.

The combination of stripped-down metal music and traditional folk music has since the beginning been the hallmark of Grift, and so it continues. The lyrics are still highly influenced by predominantly Swedish poets and artists, and are still mostly about existential questions and the feeling of always being a nomad wandering aimlessly. Grift Posts New Music Video

Swedish band Grift just revealed the music video for "Svältorna," taken from the upcoming album "Syner," scheduled for release on September 18, 2015.

"Syner" is set to drop through Nordvis & Heathen Harvest, while the video for "Svältorna" was directed by Erik Gärdefors - check it out below.
