Pyogenesis Reveals Artwork For Comeback Album
Germany's Pyogenesis has revealed the artwork for the new album "A Century in the Curse of Time," the group's first studio release in 13 years (since "She Makes Me Wish I Had a Gun" 2002). Check out the cover below.
The album is set for release on August 14th via AFM Records, with further details coming soon. Pyogenesis commented on the cover:
"Does anyone remember when you were a kid, listening to records by sitting on the bed with head phones on and looking at the cover for ages? Over and over again? That's exactly what we did. And we hope this record's cover is one of those. Which covers were the ones you loved as described above, when you were young? And is there anything you like in our cover here the most?" More...
Pyogenesis Announces New Album
The wait is over - after more than a 13 year hiatus, Pyogenesis is to release a new studio album on August 14th, 2015 via a freshly inked deal with AFM Records.
Flo Von Schwarz comments: "The best about metal are the people: I've known Jochen (Richert, AFM Records) for more than 20 years, and with him and the whole AFM team I made the right choice.”
AFM Records adds: "For 24 years Pyogenesis means tours and fans all around the globe, playing in front of 560,000 people in Hungary, performances at Rock am Ring /Rock im Park or Wacken and #1 in MTV’s viewer charts. Besides that, the band co-invented the genre 'Gothic metal' in the early 90s. But 24 years of Pyogenesis also means 13 years without a new album and 10 years without shows.
"Now, this break is finally over! After a sold out comeback show in Romania, the band will release a highly anticipated 6th album in summer. With 'A Century In The Curse Of Time,' the four-piece around mastermind Flo V. Schwarz are returning to their roots, recording not only the heaviest, but also the most epic and ambitious album in the band’s history. It’s their first concept album ever: The lyrical theme is about the change of society in the 19th century under the influence of the industrialization, the steam-engine, the emerging bourgeoisie and science fiction literature such as Jules Verne."
Pyogenesis will play as one of the top acts at this year‘s Summer Breeze Festival (August 12th -15th) in Dinkelsbühl/Germany. Stay tuned for more info on the coming album.
