Full Scale Riot Enters The Studio
Recently signed to Eulogy Recordings, Full Scale Riot is currently set up at New Jersey-based Trax East Recording Studio laying down the tracks for an impending self-titled debut album.
The band will finalize the recordings in the coming days and put the final touches on the album for a September release. "Full Scale Riot" is also slated to feature a guest guitar contribution from Mark Rizzo of Soulfly.
Issues Full Scale Riot from the studio this week, "The music on this album is somewhat different from the 'Depopulation' EP, so we decided to go a different route as far as recording goes, recording everything to two-inch tape then bouncing it through ProTools. We've also done a few other things to try to capture our live sound. While the new material has a very old-school hardcore/crossover feel, we're shaping the forthcoming direction of the band's sound."

Full Scale Riot Signs With Eulogy
Full Scale Riot has officially joined the Eulogy Recordings family this week, with the label signing the band for an upcoming debut full-length due this September.
While no other details on the record are yet available, Full Scale Riot will return to Trax East where the band recorded the "Depopulation" EP. Eulogy Recordings comments:
"Full Scale Riot is a Northern New Jersey/New York City-area hardcore quintet founded by Tim McMurtrie, former original guitarist of the legendary band M.O.D. FSR was formed back in 2006 by guitarist McMurtrie and singer BJ Allen right when Tim was fresh from disbanding another one of his popular local rock and rap bands, Rhythm Trip.
"When Tim and BJ met through a mutual friend, they formed an instant musical bond and the initial concept for the band was born. Through the years, the two stayed in touch and with the current state of our nation's politics and world issues decided that it would be a good time to bring Full Scale Riot back. This time it's all about aggression and getting back to the roots. The lineup consists of Allen on vocals, McMurtrie on guitar, Jeff F'N Wood (Shat, Murder League All-Star, ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan live, ex-M.O.D.) on bass, and drummer Evan Rossiter." More...
Full Scale Riot Releases "Betrayus" Video
New York City-area hardcore quartet Full Scale Riot just released an official video hailing from debut EP," Depopulation", created for the record's third track, "Betrayus."
The clip broadcasts the band's groove-heavy, metallic hardcore fury shot and edited by Mike "Diggy" Murphy (Ill-Roc Records). Available below, the "Betrayus" video cuts politically-charged themes that reside in the band's tunes with performance footage in an energetic explosion.
Full Scale Riot comments: "The song title 'Betrayus' is a riff on the General Petraeus scandal in name only. 'Betrayus' is about friendship and loyalty, or the illusion of. It's the ugly side of allowing yourself to be vulnerable. This song is a slight departure from the rest of the politically driven songs on the EP, although the same sentiment can be applied to our elected officials; that's why you can see labor movement images as well as other political themes throughout the video."
