Los Angeles-based metalcore outfit Matriarchs premiere their new single and music video titled "Slave City". The group released their latest album "Year of the Rat" - featuring ex-Volumes vocalist Myke Terry and Emmure frontman Frankie Palmeri - in October via Upstate Records.

Matriarchs Announces "Scandalous Jointz"
SoCal hardcore metal outfit Matriarchs recently announced the upcoming release of new album "Scandalous Jointz," hitting stores on October 30 via Eulogy Recordings in North America and GSR Music in Europe.
"Scandalous Jointz" is produced by Nick Jett of Terror and mastered by Matt Hyde (Deftones, Lionheart), with pre-orders up at this location.
Matriarchs is comprised of current and ex members of the bands Hoods, Ruckus, and The Faceless, and boasts a dirty, street-style mixture of avant-garde heavy metal, punk and hardcore elements. The new album's track listing is:

Matriarchs Signs With Eulogy
After cutting their teeth on the local hardcore scene of Los Angeles, New York, France
and Northern California, founding guitarists Ben Levi and vocalist Richard Barthel formed
Matriarchs.
The band aimed at fusing together the visual aesthetic and presentation of more thought provoking heavy acts like Tool or Converge with the sonic ferocity and energy of hardcore.
A new full length will be out this year worldwide with the support of Eulogy Recordings and GSR on CD / digital / vinyl formats. Both labels are very excited to work together on such an amazing project. Matriarchs features ex-members of Ruckus, Hoods and The Faceless. The lineup consists of:
