Cut Up Holds "Vermin Funeral" In New Video

On March 24th, Cut Up will release sophomore album, "Wherever They May Rot," worldwide via Metal Blade Records.

Just as brutal as its predecessor, 2015's "Forensic Nightmares," this upcoming release offers a rougher edge and is catchier overall. For a preview of the album, a bloody video for the "Vermin Funeral" single can be viewed below.

Cut Up's Anders Bertilsson (guitar) comments: "Inspiration for your arbitrary funerary rites arrives in the form of our new video. Shot in a cold, filthy, suitably depressing environment the video perfectly illustrates the scorching mid-tempo concentration of pure aggression that is 'Vermin Funeral.' Thanks to the camera work and acting by the Arvika crew, we can now present you with this murderous cinematic experience. Watch as one by one is hunted down and hammered into the tomb. Get this and 10 more killing anthems with 'Wherever They May Rot', out March 24th worldwide on Metal Blade Records!" More...

Cut Up Enters The Studio

Swedish death metallers Cut Up just entered the Big Balls Productions Studio in Sweden to record the successor to debut album, "Forensic Nightmares." Drummer Tobias Gustafsson comments:

"We have started the recording of our second album! Again, we have entered Big Balls Productions Studio in Karlstad/Sweden with engineer Mats Lindstrom. The majority of 2016 has been spent writing and working on the new material.

"The process has been very intense, which I think reflects in the music, in a very positive way. Following the direction of our debut 'Forensic Nightmares', our second, yet untitled album will take things up a notch or two!

"Drums are already almost done, and during the next couple of weeks we will continue to shape this death metal gore bomb into its final form. The mixing and last touches will be done by no less than Dan Swano at Unisound!"

Stay tuned for more news coming soon! In the meantime, check out a song off the previous album below and catch the band live:

Nov. 12 - Stockholm, Sweden - EN Arena

Cut Up Signs With Metal Blade

Metal Blade is proud to announce the addition of Swedish death metal band Cut up to it's roster. The label comments:

"Cut Up was founded by drummer Tobias Gustafsson and vocalist/bassist Erik Rundqvist in early 2014. After disbanding Vomitory by the end of 2013 after 24 years of death metal duty, the two felt it obvious to continue creating death metal together.

"Very soon, guitarist Anders Bertilsson and guitarist/vocalist Andreas Björnson were recruited and Cut Up was complete. Both Bertilsson - who was previously and most notably in Coldworker (2006-2013) - and Björnson - also known from Fetus Stench - share the same musical ideals as Gustafsson and Rundqvist as well as the passion to play live.

"The next months followed with hard work, writing and rehearsing, and in November 2014 they entered the studio and recorded 11 songs for the yet untitled debut album. With the band members' collective resume and repute in the metal scene, you can expect nothing but violent, catchy, groovy and grinding death metal from CUT UP.

"More info on the debut album, a first track and the front art will be announced and revealed shortly!"

Comments drummer Tobias Gustafsson: "I am very happy, proud, honoured and excited to team up with Metal Blade Records once again, this time with Cut Up! Can't stay away from playing death metal, obviously, so it feels fantastic to have this murderous ensemble together so soon after putting Vomitory into eternal sleep. Cut Up is not just another project, but all four members' new main band. We have made a debut album that we are tremendously satisfied with, both material- and production-wise. We can't wait to let you hear it! Cut Up aim to hit the stages as soon as the album is released, so we hope to see you all in the front row and in the pit!"
