Immolation Premiere New Song “The Age Of No Light”

A second new single named “The Age Of No Light“ from long-running New York death metal band Immolation‘s eleventh studio full-length has premiered streaming via YouTube and Spotify below. The band recorded “Acts Of God” with Paul Orofino and had Zack Ohren (Machine Head, All Shall Perish) mix it. The record will be out on February 18th via Nuclear Blast.

Them Signs to SPV/Steamhammer

The German-American band Them has signed to Steamhammer/SPV. The band features vocalist KK Fossor (ex-Coldsteel), guitarist Markus Ullrich (Lanfear, Septagon, A Cosmic Trail), guitarist Markus Johansson (Sylencer, 4ARM), bassist Mike Lepond (Symphony X, Ross The Boss), drummer Angel Cotte (Demolition Hammer) and keyboardist Richie Seibel (Lanfear, Ivanhoe). The release of their second album, "Manor Of The Se7en Gables," has been announced for October 2018.

Head of Steamhammer Olly Hahn has great confidence in the new SPV signing: "Thanks to their charismatic frontman KK Fossor and their extremely interesting concept it shouldn't take long for Them to establish themselves at the very top of the metal scene. We're delighted to support them in achieving their goal."

Markus Ullrich is also thoroughly optimistic: "We're convinced that SPV is the perfect label to take the next steps with and turn Them into an internationally acclaimed act."

Autopsy Announced For Inaugural "Quebec Deathfest"

The "Deathfest" series of shows will be heading to Montreal, Quebec in October for the inaugural "Quebec Deathfest". Initial bands have been revealed for that run, which will be held coming October 19th-20th across Mtelus, Foufounes Electriques, Katacombes and the Piranha Bar.

Public Sales Begin For 70,000 Tons Of Metal 2017

UMC - promoters for the Original and World's Largest Cruise Festival, 70,000 Tons of Metal - have now opened up the 2017 installment to public sales. Check out how to plan your metal vacation using the link below.

In addition, the lineup is taking shape as an additional 20 acts were added to the bill, bringing the total announced at 36 of 60 bands, as follows:

Arch Enemy, Demolition Hammer, Devildriver, Draconinan, Dying Fetus, Gojira, Marduk, Moonsorrow, Omnium Gatherum, Orden Ogan, Revocation, Saltatio Mortis, Serenity, Stamina, Stuck Mojo, Testament, Uli Jon Roth, Unleashed, Vreid and Xandria.

70,000 Tons of Metal 2016 will set sail on February 2nd-6th from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and for the first time will port in Haiti at Labadee.

The festival will once again be hosted by The Independence of the Seas (via Royal Caribbean). The ship will accommodate four stages: The Alhambra Theater is a five-story concert hall in which they spare no expense to remove part of the (very comfortable) seating so you have a real Mosh Pit on the High Seas; The more intimate Egyptian themed Pyramid Lounge offers the local club atmosphere; The third indoor stage is in Studio B, the ice skating rink featuring a maritime version of the Arena experience and last but not least their jewel: The Pool Deck stage - The World’s Biggest Open Air Stage Structure to ever sail the Open Seas, surrounded by multiple bars and pools, plenty of room to sunbathe on several decks and even hot tubs incorporated into the Pool Deck stage to soak in while you watch the shows!

The All-Star Jam band, which returned this past January will also be back, led by Annihilator's Jeff Waters and members from the various acts aboard performing cover tunes live.

Demolition Hammer Albums Seeing Re-Issue

The hammer demolishes once again! "Tortured Existence" (1990) and "Epidemic Of Violence" (1992) will be reissued on vinyl, featuring heavy 180g wax and the original cover artwork. Both titles are set for release on March 9th, 2015.

"For me Demolition Hammer represents the most sheer brute force that you can have in thrash metal," is how John Kevill (Warbringer) once described this NY based act, which released three albums via Century Media Records between 1990 and 1994.
