Losa have apparently been dropped by Metal Blade Records. Details haven't been revealed, but the group states the following: "Working with them was an enlightening experience, one [we] will not soon forget. You will be happy to know that they wish us 'good luck in our future endeavors,' which they hope are extremely successful. Other labels are already interested, so no worries."
Meanwhile, both drummer Dave Hall and guitarist Kory Koch have left the band for undisclosed reasons. The Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX outfit is now in search of replacements. Send an email to email@example.com for more information. Losa has cancelled their April tours with Deadbird and Yakuza and their scheduled appearance at the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest is currently "up in the air." Regarding the future, the band has issued the statement:
"So what next? Well, for now it's back to the practice room to begin writing the next album. Tentative plans are to have the writing process done by early fall with recording to follow shortly thereafter. Once a drummer is secured Losa will return to the road, hopefully in about two months time. In the meantime, be on the lookout for a new site by Devastating Designs."
Bassist Joshua Urista of the Dallas-based metalcore outfit LOSA has posted the following message on the group's official web site:
"For the first time in a very long time I actually have some juicy tid-bits to share. I wish I could say that the news was all good, but that would be a lie and probably not as interesting. So let's get to it, shall we.
"LOSA is no longer on Metal Blade Records. Feel free to read into that as much as you would like. Working with them was an enlightening experience, one I will not soon forget. You will be happy to know that they wish us 'good luck in our future endeavors, which [they] hope are extremely successful.' Other labels are already interested, so no worries.
"Next up, we have the cancellation of our April tours with DEADBIRD and YAKUZA. I strongly encourage you to support both of these bands by attending their shows and buying their merch. My apologies go out to both bands and I hope we can work together in the very near future. As for the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, that is still up in the air. Stay tuned for more on that.
