"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Losa Part Ways With Metal Blade Records also Seek New Drummer and Guitarist

Bassist Joshua Urista of the Dallas-based metalcore outfit LOSA has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"For the first time in a very long time I actually have some juicy tid-bits to share. I wish I could say that the news was all good, but that would be a lie and probably not as interesting. So let's get to it, shall we.

"LOSA is no longer on Metal Blade Records. Feel free to read into that as much as you would like. Working with them was an enlightening experience, one I will not soon forget. You will be happy to know that they wish us 'good luck in our future endeavors, which [they] hope are extremely successful.' Other labels are already interested, so no worries.

"Next up, we have the cancellation of our April tours with DEADBIRD and YAKUZA. I strongly encourage you to support both of these bands by attending their shows and buying their merch. My apologies go out to both bands and I hope we can work together in the very near future. As for the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, that is still up in the air. Stay tuned for more on that.

"And the hits just keep on comin'!

"It is with a heavy heart that i inform you of Dave [David Hall; drums] and Kory's [Koch; guitar] departure from LOSA. Both have invested countless amounts of money, time, and energy into LOSA. They will be missed. Best of luck guys!

"With that being said, I am in need of a drummer and a guitarist. If you or someone you know are interested in trying out, hit me up here. I can promise you hunderds-of-thousands-of-dollars and all the weed, whiskey, and women you can handle.

"So what next? Well, for now it's back to the practice room to begin writing the next album. Tentative plans are to have the writing process done by early fall with recording to follow shortly thereafter. Once a drummer is secured, LOSA will return to the road, hopefully in about two months time."

LOSA's full-length debut, "The Perfect Moment", was released in March 2005 via Metal Blade.
