Ramallah Cancels Tour, Possibly Breaking Up
Boston-based hardcore band Ramallah has dropped off their tour with Since The Flood and Seventh Star, and may ultimately disband, going on what they term to be an "indefinite hiatus." Here's a statement from the band:
"Due to the ever changing lineup, the drama that continually surrounds and follows the band, and Rob's personal issues keeping him from being able to tour, we have dropped off this upcoming stint with Since The Flood and Seventh Star. Our apologies to everyone that had anything to do with this tour, from booking and promoting shows to just planning to come see us. Please still go see STF and SS, as they will still be doing the tour, and both are great bands. We will not be booking any more shows, and as of now there are no plans for a new record. Thanks to everyone that has supported us in any way."

Since the Flood Comments On New Album
Since the Flood's sophomore album, No Compromise, hit stores January 23. Frontman Chuck Bouley told Metal File that the band "didn't try to do anything differently" in the studio but feels the LP shows the group's "natural progression." He added that he hopes "this is the album that helps us be seen by a larger fanbase, because we've done so many of the smaller underground tours, and now we're hoping that, if we sell enough [copies] of this album, we'll be able to create some mass appeal and work our way onto bigger stages."

Since The Flood Sign With Metal Blade Records
Metal Blade Records has officially inked a worldwide deal with the brutal North Shore/Boston Massachusetts hardcore band SINCE THE FLOOD. SINCE THE FLOOD's debut release, "No Compromise", will mark the band's follow-up to the underground hit "Valor and Vengeance" which came out through Iron Clad Recordings (UNEARTH frontman Trevor Phipps' label) in February 2005. "No Compromise", recorded at Outpost Studios in Stoughton, MA with Jim Siegal (BLOOD FOR BLOOD, CAVE IN, and the DROPKICK MURPHYS), shows the band heading in a more focused and intense direction with the end results being a far more concentrated hardcore record than anything they have done in the past. "There's no doubt in our mind that both old fans, and new, will be very surprised and pleased with the direction we've gone musically since 'Valor and Vengeance'," states the band. More...
