Hey another person from El Paso...kickass. I was at the SOTU show too. I agree, ALOL was pretty damn bad...otherwise the concert was pretty good...definitely worth the price of admission. I was looking forward to the next one, but it looks like they are going to have a ton of the same bands...hard to justify going back for that...we'll wait and see what the final line-up is.

Oh yeah, I forgot to comment on this Uranium show...ummm...sounds alright, but if that idiot Mistress Julia is hosting I'll have to mute the TV while she's talking. I know there are a lot of folks out there that think she is hot...but c'mon...she is a horrible representative for the metal community. I remember that on the day after Dimebag was killed she was on CNN or MSNBC as a guest...debating some guy who hated metal music and thought that this kind of violence is spawned by the music. All she did was yell at him...the guy was making some of the most inane, illogical arguments and she yelled back at him. Instead, she should have attacked his arguments with something thoughtful...and destroy him that way...but no...not the mistress of metal...just a bunch of yelling. Great way to show the non-metal community what we have to offer. OK, my rant is over. I'll watch...with my finger on the mute button.

i thought the idea was that bands in genres like death/black metal (ie Cannibal Corpse, Obituary) generally shun any sort of media coverage unless it's an interview with an unheard-of reporter for an unheard-of magazine with numerous unheard-of side-projects and demos mentioned, where the whole interview remain completely unheard-of anyway? i mean, it's the only way to be "True", isnt it?

Looks into why metal is shunned by the media masses...
WHY SHOULDNT IT BE? METAL IS SHUNNED BECAUSE ITS NOT TRENDY BULLS-HIT LIKE THE FOLLOWING....
RAP/HIP-HOP
R&B
POP
COUNTRY
NU-METAL
CLASSICAL
70s FUNK
POP PUNK AND ECT AND ECT.....
My parents cant stand the screaming nor the loud guitars and angry vocals that the bands I like create....
BUT THATS THE GODDAMN POINT.....
KEEP METAL UNDERGROUND, F-UCK THE MEDIA, YOUR PARENTS, AND THE MAINSTREAM.....

All the bands except a life once lost deserve respect. I saw a life once lost here in El Paso during the sounds of the underground tour and they sucked real bad.
