FASSW Back From Canadian Tour, Work On New Album

From a Second Story Window have just returned from their Canadian tour and have issued an update:

"Back from tour in lovely Canada. We had no problems at the border, except having to pay some extra cash thanks to one of us having a shady past. Whatever. We also got fucked completely by the kid in Oshawa who was supposed to do that show, but decided to cancel on us. Apparently there might have been a show that day in Oshawa? If there was, please know we had no idea that it was still going on and we haven't been paid for the show at all. The kid won't pick up his phone. Typical. Also, the manager for MAE wouldn't let us play the Circa Survive show in Toronto, so we deeply apologize to anyone who came to that show and expected to see us rock out in true emo fashion! We were taken off the bill the night before the show. I think it's really shitty of Mae's tour manager to do that to us, but we hold no hard feelings against the band. Other than this, the tour was fucking amazing and we can not wait to hit up Canada again in the future! A huuuuge special thanks to MARIE in Ottawa for helping us with all our paperwork and being a wonderful host and partying with us two nights in a row! You rule and we had tons of fun hanging with you and Martin and everyone else. People in Canada seem to just be so laid back and different than what we are like here in the United States. We were really impressed by everyone's kind attitude. Also, a special thank you to Johnny O.C. and the boys in Ion Dissonance. You guys get more sick every time we play with you and I truly feel like you are real brothers to us. We will always be friends in this world and the next. Thank you. And um....Beneath the Massacre tore everyone up in Ottawa. Those guys just recovered from a terrible van accident and if you get a chance, check them out and give them your support. They were nice guys. So now what, well... back to the grind for us. We are continuing to work on the new album and have about two more songs to go with principle guitar work before we really dig in and put all the finishing touches on the album. We also are actually playing a show NEAR HOME IN AKRON OHIO ON NOVEMBER 4TH!!!! I hope all the Cleveland kids and AKRON crews come rock out with us that night! I can't wait. In the meantime, email us and let us know how things are in your world... we miss you all. Much love and respect, fassw."

From a Second Story Window has a few tour dates coming up still:

11/04 Akron, OH The Orange Street w/ Skies Bleed Black and Bend the Sky
11/19 Poughkeepsie, NY The Chance w/ Converge, THE RED CHORD, Shai Hulud and many more!

Paria Back From Tour and Ready To Write

Paria have finished a short tour with From A Second Story Window and are heading home to take a break and write. Here is the update:

"We are home from our east coast venture with our good pals From A Second Story Window. It was a short tour, but we had a great time playing shows and hanging out with those dudes. In that tour we played New England Metal Fest, which was a blast, as well as three dates with Minneapolis metal maniacs Nehemiah including their CD release show. Pictures from Metal Fest can be found here. We want to throw a special thanks out to those guys for having us for those three days and we wish them the best of luck with their new disc. Go pick it up kids!"

We will be home for the next two months (aside from Dustin who will be on tour with Analog) to write some new material for our next full length. We are planning on touring all of July and August as well as a short Canadian run with Ion Dissonance in September when their new CD on Abacus records is released. Plans are still in the works so keep checking back for that."

In other news, Schecter guitars have endorsed Paria. And Jones Soda has worked out a deal with the band and will be printing their album cover on 25,000 bottles of soda. They will be hitting shelves later this summer.

FASSW and Blood In/Blood Out Make-up Show

Remember the onstage drama during Chaosfest? Apparently both From A Second Story Window and Blood In/Blood Out have put aside their differences to put on a show together. States Derek Vasconi of From A Second Story Window:

"I understand where they were comming from. If anyone was getting offensive with our friends we would have done the same thing. It was all just a misunderstanding and I am hoping for this show to be the end of all the drama."

The show will take place on June 5th at 653 Railroad Ave. in Round Lake, IL. Also performing will be Ion Dissonance, On Broken Wings, Carnivale, and Afterproject.

Chaos Fest 2005 Ends In Violence

Milwaukee's Chaos Fest 2005 came to an abrupt halt last night as a member of From A Second Story Window was attacked shortly into the band's set. The brawl apparently started when a member of Indiana hardcore band Blood In/Blood Out attacked FASSW's singer. An associate of Lambgoat.com was at the show and provided the following statement:

"The dispute was over a small problem that occurred the night before in Chicago where the singer for FASSW was crowd surfing and knocked out a false ceiling tile in the venue. The member of BIBO that did the attacking was seeking revenge on the FASSW member because he 'caused damage to the last venue in Chicago that does DIY shows.' FASSW's guitar player and cameraman, among others, were severely harmed. FASSW suffered severe equipment damage, their bassist's bass was snapped in half, their triple rectifiers were knocked flat to the ground, and their drums were smashed when a small riot broke out following the initial attack. There is no news yet as to whether or not FASSW will be cancelling any dates because of the incident, although it is likely considering their guitar player was hurt badly and they will have to replace their equipment."

Vandegrift will make his debut with the group during their upcoming tour with Crematorium, The Red Death, and Losa, which kicks off in April.
