Gozu Reveals New Album "Remedy" Details
Boston's Gozu — Marc Gaffney (vocals and guitar); Joseph Grotto (bass); Doug Sherman (lead guitar); and Seth Botos (drums) — return riffing and screaming with their fifth full-length "Remedy." The record arrives via Black Light Media/Metal Blade on May 19, 2023 and can be pre-ordered here. The band has also revealed the music video for the album's opening track, "Tom Cruise Control," which you can check out below.
"'Tom Cruise Control' will take you riding into the danger zone," the band shares. "It will take you right into the danger zone! Turn 'n Burn."
The record was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Dean Baltulonis (Death Ray Vision, The Hope Conspiracy) at Wild Arctic studios in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. 2018 ‘Metal Alliance Tour’ w/ Goatwhore Announced
The ‘Metal Alliance Tour‘ will return this fall with Goatwhore confirmed as headliner for this year’s edition. The Casualties, Black Tusk and Great American Ghost are booked as support acts. Morthereon will join the trek from 10/31-11/07 while Gozu will open the shows from 11/18-11/30.

Gozu Announces U.S. Tour
Massachusetts-based rock/metal outfit Gozu will embark on a short run of live dates next week, with shows in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Dover, and Portland. Following this northeast trek, Gozu will make its way to the west coast in April alongside Ape Machine. See confirmed dates below.

Gozu Signs Record Deal
Blacklight Media / Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the worldwide signing of Boston's rock/metal outfit Gozu. Formed in 2010, the four-piece released one EP and three full-lengths to-date, and is currently writing a fourth studio album, set for a 2017 release.
Gozu comments: "We are extremely excited to be signed to Blacklight Media / Metal Blade Records, started by celebrity chef Chris Santos and partnered with legendary Metal Blade founder and CEO, Brian Slagel. The 4 members of Gozu couldn't be happier. This is why we plug in every night."
Chris Santos (Blacklight Media) adds: "I caught Gozu at Brooklyn's Metal Bar Lucky 13 Saloon and they blew me away. By the second song in their set, I began sending Brian real time video of the show. Gozu represents the bands that I look for for BLM; It's hard to articulate, but you know it when it grabs you by the throat."
Previously, the group has shared the stage with the likes of St. Vitus, Pallbearer, Lo Pan, Storm of Light, Helmet, Elder, Mos Generator, and Fu Manchu in the States, as well as Yob, Church of Misery and Kvelertak in Europe at Roadburn (Netherlands) and DesertFest Berlin (Germany). 2017 will surely see Gozu back on the road again, and at the forefront of the heavy rock and metal world. Psycho Las Vegas Lineup Announced
Psycho Las Vegas is a property-wide music festival taking place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 26th - 28th, 2016.
Brought to you by the curators of Psycho California, the epic event will play host to nearly one-hundred acts from around the world with a heavy focus on riffs, doom, and psychedelia.
Highlights include Alice Cooper, Blue Öyster Cult, Converge, the return of Down, Drive Like Jehu, High On Fire, Sleep, Pentagram, Yob, exclusive 2016 US performances from both Electric Wizard and Candlemass, and so many more.
The fest will also include an interactive backlight chamber, a Boogie Van Blackjack Tournament, film screenings, DJ sets hosted by Scott Ian (Anthrax), Sean "Pellet" Pelletier (Last Days Here), J. Ripple Music is thrilled to announce the signing of Boston, MA heavy rock quartet Gozu and with it the arrival of third studio album "Revival" in the spring of 2016. The label comments:
"Since appearing on the underground scene in 2009 after the release of their self-titled EP, Gozu have continued to lay down a furious and rare breed of colossal stoner rock. A sound that in recent years has truly come into its own, two albums deep with 2010’s 'Locust Season' and 2013’s 'The Fury Of A Patient Man,' both released on the influential Small Stone Records label.
"Following the critical success of both albums, each likened to early Queens Of The Stone Age and High On Fire (in no small part attributed to singer Marc Gaffney’s impressive vocal work and guitar player Doug Sherman’s monolithic riffs) Gozu quickly came to the attention of Ripple Music who have had a stellar 2015 with releases from Sweat Lodge, Chron Goblin, Geezer and many others."

Gozu Embarking On European Tour
The Massachusetts hellions in Gozu will take their riffs overseas next week for a first-ever European takeover.
Set to begin at the legendary Roadburn Festival, the band will wage a full-on volume ambush through ten select locales in the Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia and Italy, concluding with a performance at Desertfest in Berlin.
Gozu will be touting "The Fury Of A Patient Man" full-length released last Spring via Small Stone. A special deluxe edition of "The Fury Of A Patient Man" was recently released via Small Stone in celebration of the upcoming European journey.
Limited to 500 copies, the 2XLP set comes on 180-gram wax with a wide spine jacket, poly-lined sleeve, and two colors - LP one is "clear green" while LP two is "solid purple." Sides one, two and three feature tracks from the original album, while side four offers up exclusive vinyl-only numbers with one original tune ("Break You") and Gozu-ed renditions of Simply Red's "Holding Back The Years" and D'Angelo's "Shit, Damn, Motherfucker."
