Ferium Reveals New Album
Israeli metal band Ferium has announced the upcoming release of new album "Behind the Black Eyes." The follow-up to 2014 debut album "Reflections" will be released on April 21st and pre-orders are being taken now at this location.
"Behind The Black Eyes" was produced and mixed by Elram Boxer and was mastered at The Panic Room by Thomas Plec Johanssen. The band discusses the sound and ideas behind the album:
"Aggression is the most important thing about metal in our opinion. It has been an important outlet for so many people, including ourselves. We write the music from the bottom of our souls. The creative minds behind Ferium have experienced deceit, unfaithfulness, heartbreak, betrayal, pain and loss, all of which creates a sonic portrayal of aggressiveness and frustration in an effort to solve all of life's struggles, and to turn them into positive and empowering experiences.
"With our lyrical concept revolving personal relationships, emphasizing a story from the protagonists point of view, our new album has a much more direct and cohesive approach than 'Reflections,' 'Behind the Black Eyes' is a concept album, which makes it much easier to imagine yourself being in the story through vocals that play a big role in creation of the atmosphere and the huge groove riffing. Eliran Kantor's (Testament, Atheist, Hatebreed) mesmerizingly brutal cover artwork gives the lyrical concept the image it deserves." More...
Ferium Premieres "Blood" Music Video
Ferium is currently working on new album "Behind The Black Eyes," but before that album is completed the band has one more look back at previous full-length "Reflections."
Today we're stoked to bring you the official worldwide premiere of the "Blood" video, taken off "Reflections."
The "Blood" video clip was filmed, edited, and directed solely by Chris Kells (The Agonist's bass player) of Front To Back Video Productions. While The Agonist and Ferium were touring together through Europe on March 2015, Chris filmed Ferium's live performance "just to make something out of it" as he said.
When tour was over, Chris decided to film some more footage by his own to add, creating a proper video clip, featuring none other than The Agonist's own Vicky Psarakis at the end.
With the release of this video, Ferium will also be unveiling a new "Blood" t-Shirt designed by Inna Libman available at the band's online store here. More...
Ferium Posts Studio Update On New Album
Israeli metal outfit Ferium are hard at work in the studio working on their upcoming concept album, "Behind the Black Eyes." Video footage from the recording sessions can be viewed below.
"Behind The Black Eyes" greatly expands the concept first introduced on the band's debut album "Reflections." The connection between the two albums is evident in part by the inclusion of a new track titled "Reflections," while the debut album contained the song "The Black Eyes." "Behind The Black Eyes" is the story of one man's deteriorating relationship from beginning to end; from promising beginnings to the bitter end. Musically, "Behind the Black Eyes" raises the intensity level and deepens the impact with powerful riffs and melodic atmospheric parts, ensuring that nary a listener is left unaffected by the experience. The album will once again be produced and recorded by guitarist Boxer at his very own Boxer Studio.

Ferium Streaming All Of "Reflections"
Israeli metallers Ferium unleashed their debut album Reflections this week via Transcend Music. Previously, we brought you four songs from the release, and now the album is streaming in full exclusively on MetalMouth.net. Check it out at this location. The band has also released a narrated video telling the album's story, which is playing below. Ferium commented upon this unique way of storytelling:
"We felt like this lyric video story would be the perfect alternative interpretation to our debut 'Reflections,' because it sets as the mood perfectly for the whole approach that the album takes lyrically and musically. To absorb the full essence of this album, we believe that if you listen to the story and right after to 'Reflections' itself, the maximum impact of the life-story the protagonist has gone through will be crystal clear."
