We All Die (Laughing) Featured In Art Expo
When asked by French photographer Mathieu Drouet to contribute a track to a contemporary art project for his "Grande Plage" June 2014 exhibition, French-Bulgarian progressive extreme metal entity We All Die (Laughing) created an exclusive instrumental piece based on their debut full-length, "Thoughtscanning." The piece follows the theme of the album's single track, "Thoughtscan."
The exhibition is based on pieces from Drouet's collection that he considers worth being used as cover artwork. The series will feature twelve pieces, each with a song written and recorded exclusively for the exhibition. Drouet will press a single copy 12-inch LP with one of these pictures as artwork, the band's contribution and an experimental audio rendition of the photography's digital file's data, making this unique ambient noise track the "sound of the picture."
Teaming with Drouet, Kaotoxin will digitally release this new EP on August 12th. Titled "Tentoonstelling" ("exhibition" in Dutch), the two track EP will feature a 13:49 long (date pun intended) piano jazz rendition of "Thoughtscanning" titled "Variation on the Scanning of Thoughts," while the second track will be Drouet's experimental audio rendition of the front artwork's photography.

We All Die (Laughing) Teases New Album
Kaotoxin records is very proud to announce the addition of French-Bulgarian duet We All Die (Laughing), which features vocalist-extraordinaire Arno Strobl (Carnival In Coal, 6:33) and multi-talented musician and composer Déhà (C.O.A.G., Maladie).
We at Metalunderground are equally proud to be bringing you the U.S. exclusive premiere of the news, along with a teaser trailer announcing the collaboration that can be seen below.
The band was first featured on the title track for label-mates Eye of Solitude‘s digital EP “The Deceit," and will unleash its own debut full-length, titled “Thoughtscanning,” through Kaotoxin on January 14th, 2014.
“Thoughtscanning” marks the return of Arno Strobl to a band of his very own since the demise of Carnival In Coal more than half a decade ago. Arno has been guesting on various projects since then, including his collaboration with France’s 6:33 for the 2013 full-length, “The Stench From The Swelling.”
But We All Die (Laughing) is his very own thing, a vehicle to express dark emotions and feelings and showcase the real him, far away from all of his previous performances, while still displaying how varied his vocal talents are, ranging from crooner-like singing to deep death metal like growls: a trademark is recognized for.
He comments: “Thoughtscanning has been the meeting of three different goals. First, working with Déhà, of course. We really felt we had to record something together. Then getting rid of that 'funny singer' sticker I got through my previous musical works. Last but not least: writing about depression, which was an emergency, and a matter of life and death."
Déhà, the man behind the 33 minute long concept that’s “Thoughtscan,” the only track on “Thoughtscanning,” is a gifted Stakhanovite musician and songwriter, already signed to Kaotoxin records with his own-man dark grindcore project, C.O.A.G.
Besides We All Die (Laughing) and C.O.A.G., he’s also involved in a dozen active projects, including the likes of Imber Luminis, Merda Mundi, Yhdarl, Clouds, and many more. Kaotoxin issued the following statement: More...
