Evergreen Terrace Posts New Song Online
Jacksonville, Florida metal band, Evergreen Terrace, has posted the first single from their upcoming full length, “Almost Home.” “Enemy Sex” is now available to stream on the band's MySpace page.
Speaking on the significance of the new album's title, James says, “We are a touring band, and it feels like we are forever saying we're ‘almost home.' Touring is something that nothing compares to, but there's a feeling of almost being home that resonates with all of us. In a way the band has come full circle back to its original home. We started this band for fun, and it lead us to success. Writing this album has brought us back to the beginning. It has been fun, crazy, frustrating, insomniatic and even with the inevitable pressure, pretty carefree.” More...
Evergreen Terrace Seeking Donations For Drummer
As was previously reported, Evergreen Terrace drummer Kyle Mims will be missing the band's upcoming tour dates due to a bike accident. The band has issued the following update about the situation:
"My good friend and band mate Kyle Mims was in a terrible bike accident 2 days ago. He was rushed to the emergency room, x-rayed, tested, treated, etc. He came out with a load of stitches, road burn all over his body and a broken clavicle. The broken clavicle prohibits him from playing drums, which is how he makes his living. He will be missing our next 2 tours and stuck at home, unable to work. Yesterday he went back to the doctors and they told him that if he wants to continue to play drums he will have to have surgery.
"The surgery will cost him $10,000. They require $5,000 up front and the other $5,000 once the surgery is complete. His emergency room bills, tests, ambulance ride, etc is estimated to be an additional $10,000. He was very close to receiving health insurance thru his work, but unfortunately this happened before it did.
"Kyle's mom and stepdad (Stacy and Mark Earle) have set up a donation site if you are interested. If not, then please keep him in your thoughts.
"Thanks!"
Evergreen Terrace Drummer To Miss Tour Dates
Evergreen Terrace has issued the following statement about their drummer having to sit out their upcoming tour dates:
"After yesterday's practice Kyle (drummer) was in a horrific bike accident. He was rushed to the emergency room and released late last night full of stitches and a broken clavicle (collar bone). Unfortunately he will have to have surgery and physical therapy for the next 4-8 weeks. So for obvious reasons he will not be with us on our upcoming headlining shows or the Summer Slob tour with The Acacia Strain. Please wish Kyle a quick recovery. He's pretty bummed out. Caleb James, our long time roadie and drummer for Casey Jones, will be taking over drum duties for now."

Evergreen Terrace Announces New Album Title
Florida's Evergreen Terrace is hard at work tracking the music for, "Almost Home," their follow up to 2007's, "Wolfbiker." The band has just uploaded the first video studio update on YouTube.
Guitarist Josh James comments, "We are almost finished tracking the music for our new record titled Almost Home and let me be the first to say that this record is not going to suck! Next week we head down to Audio Hammer Studios in Orlando, FL to start laying down vocals with metal mastermind, Jason Suecof. We are currently working on some US and European tour dates so keep your ears/eyes open. If you live on Earth then we might be coming near your town once this record comes, and if you don't live on Earth, then you're an alien and probably eat cats. And PETA freaks out when you eat cats. Trust me, it's ok to eat donuts but not dog nuts, that's hypocrisy." More...

Evergreen Terrace Announces "Almost Home" Details
Metal Blade Records has issued the following update about the upcoming album from Evergreen Terrace:
"Jacksonville, FL hardcore act Evergreen Terrace is pleased to announce 'Almost Home' as the title of their upcoming release and follow up to 2007's Wolfbiker. The band is now geared up to enter Audio Hammer Studios in Orlando, FL with Jason Suecof (Trivium, The Black Dahlia Murder, Job for a Cowboy) who will be recording vocals and handling mixing with the rest of the recording taking place with Stan Martell at Martell Studios in Kingsland, GA. Almost Home is set for a September release.
"Here's what guitarist Josh James has to say: 'Crunch time has now approached us, with just 1 week before we go into the studio. As always, we've given a lot and gone through even more during this writing period. From a member of the band leaving to a death in the family: we have accepted the changes that have come and gone in our lives and it all shows in this next batch of songs. I think this record will surprise the new listeners as well as have the old ones stoked. I'd say its best described as a good mixture of Burned Alive by Time and Wolfbiker, but of course, like every band says, ‘it's the best record we've done yet!' If you already hate our band then chances are you'll hate this record, if you already love our band then be prepared to have a new favorite ET record. Regardless, we're stoked.'
"Musically, EVERGREEN TERRACE takes cues from no other. The band transitions effortlessly from fast, powerful heavy hardcore to melodic punk rock. This has allowed them to tour with a diverse group since their start in late 1999 including As I Lay Dying, Strung Out, Norma Jean, Every Time I Die, Hatebreed, Thursday, Gwar and a spot on the coveted Vans Warped Tour (2008) where the band played with Against Me!, All That Remains, Angels and Airwaves, Cobra Starship, Reel Big Fish, Rise Against, A Day To Remember, and many more."

Evergreen Terrace Details Near-Disaster
Evergreen Terrace guitarist Josh James has published an account of the group's near van disaster while traveling in Canada earlier this month:
"The Quebec City show was rad, as always. That is one of my favorite cities to play in Canada. After the show we went out to eat and left the restaurant around 2:30am. It was Caleb’s (merch guy and my little brother) 21st birthday. At about 5:30am Caleb was driving and feel asleep at the wheel. We crashed into a wall on the side of a bridge going about 75 mph. The trailer was fishtailing all over the highway and could not keep control of the van. We are lucky we didn’t flip. I honestly don’t know how or why we didn’t flip. We are lucky to be alive right now. It is pretty scary when I think back about it. Caleb said that Drew turned into an angel and just started rubbing Caleb’s back telling him that it will be ok, haha. There was minor damage to the van and trailer including 3 flat tires, and 2 trashed rims. Caleb knows how to party. Misery Signals was about 50 miles behind us so they were bringing us their spare tire while we changed out the other 2. In the process of changing the tires some cops rolled up and told us that it was against the law to change our tires on the side of the highway. They commanded us to get in the vehicle and wait for a tow truck. Total bullshit. We would have had all 3 of the tires changed in less than 30 minutes but the cops were complete assholes about it. After the tow truck arrived we were given 2 options; option 1: pay the tow truck driver $250 to drive us 1 mile up the highway and drop the van on the side of the road at the next exit or option 2: have the van and trailer impounded. We can never go to Canada without have some sort of problem with the authorities. After arguing with the cops and tow truck driver we were forced to go with option 1. Misery Signals were waiting at the next exit, their tour manager/sound guy, Adam, helped us with the tires and we were on our way in less than 15 minutes. By this time we were stoked that we were alive and able to continue the tour so naturally we blasted Bro Hymn by Pennywise and circle pitted around the van. That circle pit sums up our visit to Canada."
