Mare Cognitum & Spectral Lore Premiere New Songs

Mare Cognitum and Spectral Lore premiere two new songs "Mars (The Warrior)" and "Earth (The Mother)", taken from their upcoming new split release "Wanderers: Astrology of the Nine", which will be released by I, Voidhanger Records (CD/LP/Digital) and Entropic Recordings (LP) on March 13th, 2020.

Spectral Lore Streaming "Voyager"

Spectral Lore is a polystylistic one-man project mostly based around black metal, but now branching out with other influences.

"Voyager" is the first in a series of experimental EPs that will be released during 2015 and will focus on the non-metal influences of the project. The spacey ambient/electronic release is now available for streaming below or can be downloaded at Bandcamp here. The track listing is:

Spectral Lore Announces Split With Mare Cognitum

After last year's record "Sentinel," Spectral Lore is back with a concept album shared with the U.S. one man band Mare Cognitum.

"SOL" is not a typical split album, but a collaboration on many levels, starting from the conceptual and moving on to the musical. As the bands declare: "Themes and riffs have been cross-referenced and transfigured, structures have been put in proportion, lyrics have been written in parallel. Conceptually, it is an attempt at a kind of cosmological philosophy; searching the vast, cold expanses of the universe(-s) for traces of meaning and purpose. What it is out there that is fundamental, absolute and shared? What can we learn about ourselves by looking outward, to the void and the inanimate?"
