Bands Confirmed For 2009 Auditory Assault Festival
The official 2009 Auditory Assault Festival website has been updated with the following information:
"Auditory Assault will take place at Club Europa located in Greenpoint Brooklyn, NY. 98 Meserole Ave
"Our original intention was to have the fest take place in Manhattan, but we discovered that most clubs don't like any outside promoters and are asking for way too much of a rental fee. To put it plainly, most clubs wanted so much that even if their venue was filled to capacity we wouldn't have enough money to pay the bands based on our desire to keep the ticket price reasonable. Europa is not an extremely big venue, so it's recommended that you get an advance ticket when they go on sale before the end of February

Winters In Osaka Announces New Album Details
Chicago-based noise machines, WINTERS IN OSAKA, have completed work on their next full-length. The record, "Molded to Crawl," was recorded over a six-months, which allowed the trio to complete several tours (including a Canadian run with THE ENDLESS BLOCKADE and a Southwestern jaunt with fellow noisenik MYKEL BOYD) and record several other collaborative releases (including one with Spanish goregrind legends MACHETAZO) during that time.
Mixed and mastered by studio member Greg Ratajczak, Molded to Crawl promises to deliver even more of the frightening brilliance found on past WINTERS IN OSAKA records. The album features appearances by: Rich Hoak (BRUTAL TRUTH, TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION), Topon Das (FUCK THE FACTS), DEATH AGONIES (aka THE ENDLESS BLOCKADE), Chris Dodge (DESPISE YOU, SPAZZ, EAST WEST BLAST TEST), John Hoffman (WEEKEND NACHOS), and Toney Vast Binder (HARPOON, 7000 DYING RATS). Bolt Thrower has released this bit of news regarding their first trip to the USA in 14 years:
"Due to the fact that we are not real festival lovers or great fans of flying, the chances of us ever coming to the States for a one-off show was always very small. But after years of relentless emails from Ryan we've finally given in. It's hard to believe that it's been 14 years since we last played in the US, so we are very happy to announce that we are finally coming back. Bolt Thrower will be playing Maryland Deathfest VII, on May 22-24, 2009, at Sonar, Baltimore, MD."
A few more bands were exected to be included in this announcement, but the organizers are still working on the details. Therefore, another announcement is expected with even more band confirmations in the near future, as they wrap up the booking process for Maryland Deathfest 2009
