Meadows End Splits With Guitarist
Swedish act Meadows End has issued the following announcement about parting ways with guitarist Stefan Sjölander:
"We have some bad news that will affect the way that Meadows End sound and exist in the future. Unfortunately, Stefan has decided to give up his spot in the band. Due to other obligations and projects he feels that he cannot give Meadows End the 110% it deserves. Stefan is an extremely talented guitarist and musician with great diversity and now he feels that he needs more than just Meadows End to fulfill his needs, therefore he lets his spot go not to halt the bands progress.
"This parting comes in an understanding and we will still love Stefan as a brother and of course wish him all the best in his other projects. Next Friday, our gig in Umeå will be Stefan's last performance with Meadows End. Thank you Stefan, the road changed while you were on board and you will be missed. We salute your honesty. Cheers and good luck!"
Stefan also issued the following statement: "I would like to thank everyone of you for all the support that you guys have given and give Meadows End. I would like nothing else than you to follow that track!
"This is a well thought through and very tough decision that has haunted me for a while but I cannot give Meadows End maximum priority anymore, that's why I've decided to let go of this dream.
"I really wish the band all the best on their continuing journey. We'll still hang out and pester each other like always but this still aches my heart a bit. Thank you so much, all of you! You're the best there is."
