Atriarch Finishes New Album
Portland, Oregon Atrirach has completed work on a new full-length album titled “Ritual Of Passing," which is set for release on October 30th, 2012. Profound Lore Records comments:
"Following up the acclaimed 'Forever The End' debut from last year, Atriarch would slowly develop a strong distinct identity through an amalgamation of deathrock, classic ‘80s goth, doom and black metal respectively. An intriguing mix which would mirror the powerful aesthetic and vibe brought forth from such bands as Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Cure, Christian Death, The Gault, and Asunder.
"Through several years of trial, as the band would gradually develop and define their sound, 'Ritual Of Passing' (which also features a guest appearance by Jessica Way of Worm Ouroboros on the closing track) is the becoming result of this chaos-embracing culmination, the masterpiece the band have been threatening to create since their inception in 2009.
"A harrowing, religious sonic offering drenched and drowning in wall-of-sound-like atmosphere commanded by the sermon-like vocals of Lenny Smith. Bleak, haunting, oppressive, and violent 'Ritual Of Passing' will serve as one of the most intriguing and commanding albums of the year."
The album's track listing is:
1. Parasite
2. Prayer
3. Altars
4. Altruist
5. Offerings
6. Cursed
7. Outro (Lucifer speaks with Death) More...
