Embrace Damnation Signs With Rotting Corpse

Central Illinois thrash-inspired death metal duo EMBRACE DAMNATION has inked a deal with Chicago-based label Rotting Corpse Records. The band, featuring Dave Kibler of LIVIDITY, is preparing to enter the studio to record their full-length debut release, "The Glory of a New Darkness" (artist: Ozan Yildirim from Turkey). A live drummer will be added, with the release scheduled for the summer of 2009. Show dates in support of the album are also pending at this time.

Here's what the band had to say about the signing:

"We are proud to announce the new signing deal to ROTTING CORPSE RECORDS from Chicago!! This is a grand opportunity to plague this battlefield we call Earth, with mass destruction and violent bloodshed the only way Embrace Damnation can deliver it!! Squashing the thoughts and actions of our holy enemies who are twisting the truth and avoiding the issues our children and brainwashed peers are being taught!! The ultimate power is yourself!!! Be free!!!!!!!!!"

The planned street date for "The Glory Of A New Darkness" is scheduled for summer 2009.

Lividity Ready Album For March Release

U.S. grinders LIVIDITY will release their new album, "Used, Abused, And Left for Dead", on March 21 via Epitomite Productions in the U.S., and May 5 through Morbid Records in Germany. The CD will contain 13 tracks, including "No Time for Lube", "Exhibition of Carnage", "Bound in Skin", "Phallic Beat Down", and "The Cumming of the Trilogy (Pussy Lover Pt. 3)". The album cover was created by the well-known Japanese artist Studio-Sho.

Human Artifacts Announce New Lineup

HUMAN ARTIFACTS, the new band featuring Matt Bishop (guitar, vocals; ex-LIVIDITY) and Robert Brody (drums; ex-ALCHYMIST), have parted ways with Chris Montez (guitar, backing vocals; DECRYPT) and Jimbo Kelly (bass; DECRYPT). "These guys are great friends and killer musicians and we wish them the best with their band DECRYPT," the band write in a statement. The new HUMAN ARTIFACTS lineup is:

Matt Bishop (ex-LIVIDITY) - Vocals/Guitars
Robert Brodies - Drums
Aaron Harper (ex-LIVIDITY) - Guitars
Jake Lahniers (DEADEN) - Bass/Vocals

In other news, HUMAN ARTIFACTS have confirmed a European tour in September, starting at the NRW Fest in Germany and continuing for six shows. Other bands scheduled to appear on the tour so far are GORGASM (Illinois), INSIDIOUS DECREPENCY (Texas) and EXPOSED GUTS (Germany). More information will be made available soon.

Central Illinois Metalfest Cancelled

According to a posting on the fest's official website, the Central Illinois Metalfest has been cancelled. It reads as follows:

"I spoke with Matt (LIVIDITY) on the phone & due to personal obligations he has decided to cancel the fest. Being Matt's friend, I support his decision. Matt was the person who put it all together and paid for the fest out of his own pocket. I was the promoter & webmaster for the fest.

We had a great time putting on the fest for the past 2 years and want to thank the bands that have participated & everyone that supported us!"

Lividity Working On Material For Fourth Album

U.S. cult porn grinders LIVIDITY are composing material for their fourth album, which they hope to begin recording later in the year. "Writing is going very well for the follow up to 2002's '...'Til Only The Sick Remain'," the band write in a newsletter. "The new material is more aggressive and malicious then anything we have ever done to date ." Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Raped For Rent", "Deviant Pleasures", "Used, Abused, and Left For Dead", "Bound In Skin" and "A Exhibition in Carnage".

In other news, LIVIDITY's debut album, "Fetish for the Sick", will be reissued with bonus live tracks from the group's 2003 European tour. Also included will be a new layout and packaging courtesy of Steve from Comatose Music.
