I heard it yesterday and....you could look at it from a few different viewpoints.
From a doom metal point this IS Sabbath, this is classic, this is the source of Candlemass, Trouble, etc...
The long, epic build up is basically a necessity and anything less would be doom blasphemy.
Viewpoint 2.
The vocal takes way too long to get going and the first six minutes could have been shaved in half. Second half destroys regardless of viewpoint.
For now I'm of viewpoint 1.
This is the Sab I remember my older siblings playing when I was a child.
Production is hard to tell from a stream but sounds ok.
Tony sounds nice and retro.
Geezer is thankfully high in the mix.
Drums are ok.
And Ozzy is thankfully not autotuned into oblivion.
Count me a fan for now.

I'VE LISTENED TO IT ONCE, AND YES IT WAS THE AUDIO WATERMARKED VERSION, WHICH TOOK AWAY FROM AN EXPERIENCE I WASN'T FINDING VERY THRILLING TO BEGIN WITH. THE SONG SEEMED TO GO NOWHERE, AND IT MADE ME WISH IT WAS HALF AS LONG AS IT IS. I STILL HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THE ALBUM OVERALL.

wow, that was pretty damn boring....jeez
Couple glimmers in there where ya start to get excited and then its like "mmmm, nah..."
bass sounds good, like the second half riffage, vocal and lyrics just fvcking terrible, drums flat and uninspired sounding
but, maybe the others will be better? :P

I enjoyed it, it sounds like Sabbath to me. I respect everyone's opinions and understand some of the POV's. But, put it this way, it's 2013, digital production..... Oz is 70 he's not gonna sound like he did in his mid 20's-30's. Tony is always a mastermind. Geezer's up there too. And the drums have the correct "Sabbath-type" vibe going on. Im open to it. This is Black Sabbath for crying out loud. I'd like to hear another single. I doubt this is the best track on the album.

This is much better than I expected lol.
Black Sabbath is by far their best album, in my opinion. It also was the most doom of all Sabbath's material, and this song reminds me of it.
I am excited, and I hope the album has a similar sound throughout, I love this sh**. Iommi can still write great riffs apparently.

I really liked this and it shocked me, theres alot of negativeness about the long intro but i think it fits well.
Is abit to slow for me but thats just my opinion. Il have to check out the whole album before I make my final verdict on ozzys vocals an lyrics content. He has done some sh**ty jobs in his time.

ya not bad, not great either.
i dont really have high hopes for this album mainly because i think rubens one of the most overrated producers in metal, rock & country idk but from the handfull of metal artists hes worked with i wasnt impressed, so if the album stinks it wont surprise me.

This is classic!!!!! Ozzy still has the chops and this reminds me of being back in High School in the early 80's and discovering Black Sabbath for the first time. I am glad to see that classic metal still lives on.... I can not wait to get the whole album and crank it up and rip the knob off. Long live the Metal Gods.....

Too bad it sounds so modern, like the Metallica eq. The great thing about the old Sabbath w/Ozzy was how muddy it was. All low end, no high end. Very bassey. It sounds too clean. The riff in this song reminds me of a Nirvana riff too. Ozzy has the new "double layered Ozzy" effect on his voice too. I wish they would've stuck w/something @ least a little closer to their original sound. It's what set them apart from everybody else in the first place.

Technically speaking this is as close to their "original" sound as we were ever going to get. This sounds like their Black Sabbath album with much better production, which you seem to dislike - which is pretty f***ing silly.
I don't even know what to say about the Nirvana comment... just blatantly retarded.
