Finland's Nightwish are in final negotiations with an as-yet-undisclosed major label for the North American release of the band's latest album, "Once". A U.S. release date for the CD has yet to be announced.

The follow-up to 2002's "Century Child", "Once" topped the pan-European album chart last week for the second time since the album's June 7 release, according to Billboard magazine. "Once" has already been certified gold in Germany for sales in excess of 100,000 copies. In addition, Nightwish have sold more than 30,000 copies of the CD in Finland enough for the album to be certified platinum in the group's home country.
