Scum Of The Earth Releases New Music Video For "The Devil Made Me Do It III"

Scum of the Earth's third album, "The Devil Made Me Do It," hits stores today through the Chicago-based Goomba Music, Inc. label. Produced by horror-rocker Riggs and Volkstoker, it was recorded at “Scum HQ” in Branson, MO and is the follow-up to 2007’s "Sleaze Freak" (Eclipse Records). A music video for the track "The Devil Made Me Do It III" has now been released and can be viewed below.

As Riggs states, “Being that this is 2012 and the end of the world and all, I thought the Scum of the Earth sound has ran its course, so I re invented the sound with the help of a producer/programmer by the name Volkstroker. We worked on the songs for eight months and this was the end result. Check it out before you turn into a zombie. Cheers!”

The vile and despicable mob of macabre is fronted by former Rob Zombie guitarist Riggs, whose artistry and musical vision birthed Scum of the Earth's debut in 2003, which hit hard on topics of lust, carnage, and debauchery strewn across a sanguinary soundscape, with cranium-cracking power and infectious rhythms.

This is perfect for the person who needs something that sounds like a mix between Zombie and Powerman 5000.

I hate to say it but this is Zombie when Zombie was good. (Hellbilly 1).
I think it’s fair to say Rob has surrounded himself with great musicians over the years and simply taken all the cred.
The next Zombie album will really be a make it or break it for me.
I like this though…its nu metal, it’s Powerman, its Hellbilly Zombie…bite me it’s a fun song.

All the previews are on Amazon and I liked what I heard so I just plunked down the 11.00 for it.
What the heck, if anything I’ll crank it during the Halloween season.
I’m a sucker for this particular era of Zombie and no other band really does the horror/rock thing that I’m aware of.
It’s fun, its brainless….I like it….good tunes for the mass transit ride to work.
I need something nice and loud and annoying to offset all the rap ring tones.

BrianMN - nailed it.

Zombie heard this yesterday, said "Hey... that sounds like me in '99... sounds more like me than I do now..."

And he became sad, woeful and repentant then promised to NEVER release another sh**ty re-mix album again.

Then the sun shone upon the world, the frogs croaked, the bees hummed, petals opened, planets aligned and we were all f***ing happy.
