Metallica was a good band back when they were opening for Venom. The release of Master Of Puppets was their death bell. When I heard that album, I knew that Metallica were musical traitors, then and forevermore. I thought this site was supposed to deal with underground music, anyway. Metallica is about as underground as Shania Twain. As you can see, I give a sh** about Metallica. So instead, I will use this space to express how gay and corny I thought it was that Martin Van Drunen recently spoke disparagingly about his past work with Pestilence, proclaimed that "death metal is dead", and proceeded to express his appreciation of hip-hop culture. If he ever releases a rap album, I would buy it just for the humor potential of hearing a skinny long-haired Dutch guy try to sound like a black American who grew up in the projects. Yep, it seems obvious that Van Drunen is another victim of "Tom Warrior syndrome", i.e. turning his back on godly efforts of the past at the same time as praising musical falsity. Bolt Thrower should have slapped him around a bit before kicking him out. From his frail look in his photos, their female bass player would have been able to do the job easily.

Oh, it's so thrilling that trendy alternative-rock Metallica have deigned to grace New Jersey with their presence. Eight hundred dollars a ticket wouldn't be too much to ask. While Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning are respectable albums, otherwise they have not released anything of value since their pothead bass player was crushed under a bus.
