Gama Bomb Singer Philly Byrne Forced Out Of Festival Show For Medical Reasons
U.K. thrashers Gama Bomb announced that singer Philly Byrne underwent surgery last week to have a problem with his vocal chords corrected. The band will proceed with bassist/vocalist Joe McGuiganits for the scheduled performance at the Headbanging Enschede Festival on March 31, 2012 in Enschede, Netherlands. Some of the other acts scheduled to perform are Napalm Death, Rotted and Necrophobic.
The band's post on Facebook reads: "After suffering with voice problems in recent months, Philly underwent an operation to have a problem with his vocal chords corrected last week. While the operation was a success and he's now on the mend, Philly won't be able to join the band onstage at their festival show at Headbanging Enschede on March 31st. Joe will step in and fill vocal duties for the gig while Philly recuperates. We hope you'll join us in wishing him a speedy recovery. And that his penis grows back."
