Nightwish's "Imaginaerum" Achieves Gold Status In Germany

Nightwish has announced that since the release of its new LP "Imaginaerum" in Europe on December 2, 2011, it has reached gold status in Germany with more than 100,000 copies sold.
Keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen had the following comments: "Germany never fails us! Only 5 weeks since the release and Imaginaerum goes gold! Magical, wondrous, imaginative and grateful times we're living. Huge thanks to all the fans and the fellowship of Nuclear Blast!"
The band also achieved gold status in Greece, while the album has gone triple platinum in the band's home country of Finland.
The album is scheduled to be released in the United States tomorrow, January 10, 2012 through Nuclear Blast Records. Metal Underground's review can be seen at this location.
