you may be right. I thought his recovery was pretty quick, and he does look a bit 'aged'. Not sure how much of that is make-up and lighting.

My wife also had Leukemia and likely gone through much of the same treatments (multiple rounds of high dose chemo, followed by total body radiation treatments and then the bone marrow transplant and subsequent recovery.) That was in 2003, and she's still in remission, but not 100% to where she was. It was about 6 months before she even felt '75%'.

It's a tough road, and I'm glad Nergal has made such an impressive recovery. I also think there is something to be said for him setting the high goals he did. It probably helped him to recover faster. No matter the recovery, the damage from the chemo and radiation is not fully reversable or recoverable. For about a year after the transplant, when a mosquito would bite my wife, it would fly away a few feet and then drop dead from the residual radiation.
