Sounds waayyyyyyyyy different than anything theyve done. I kinda like the chugging riff in the beginning I have to admit. This is susposed to be an easily listening song, according to Anders, and to me, will most likely be the weakest of the whole album, at least im hoping. Usually singles are not the best songs.
And plus, dont base an entire album by a 30 second song clip -_- Dont use such judgemental and pessimistic rationalizations.

This song is just ok... nothing special. The keyboards are cool I guess. I think this album will be good. Of course they can never go back to Clayman, anders has trouble doing the vocals anything before reroute to remain. There is a reason they changed there sound, ever heard anders try to sing old stuff live? Cannot do it anymore. The old growls and stuff put a strain on his voice.

^^^ that's interesting. and i have seen them live and they did the old stuff amazingly imo.
i heard the leaked song on youtube. and i didn't really think much of it. i really hope that it's the weakest song on the record. cause that was a pretty weak effort. the drums were to boring and the guitars were nowhere near as to being as good as before, of course, one would expect that to suffer with jesper gone.

Do you honestly believe jespar had that much weigh in on the song structures. He was the bassist right? I thought you were not a fan of sense of purpose or anything after clayman so why do you attribute this supposed shortcoming to jasper gone.
In all honestly, I listen to new in flames and old for different reasons. New In Flames is good on its own merit. Old flames has that nostalgic melodic death metal dual guitar harmonies and I do probably listen to it more often. However, I'm not sure if In Flames can really do that justice anymore. The album that tried to go back to clayman was come clarity and finders probably shot his voice to the max on it again.

^^^ talking alotta sh** about a person udk. i never gave any description about my attraction to in flames that indicated anything that u've said. and the fact that u just called jesper the bassist just makes u ignorant as fvck and also proves w/e point u attempted to make, invalid. BUT i do agree with u about listening to in flames' material based on different reasons. old stuff is for when i wanna hear amazing melodeath, while the newer stuff's for more of an alternative metal sound, sorta. u see, i'm not a little brick. i've been a member here for 2 yrs for a reason.

I was not trying to talk sh** about you. I read somewhere that jasper was the bassist, whoops my bad. He is the lead guitar. The new clip sounds like a sense of purpose version 2 anyways. I do not think that jasper has anything to do with the supposed downfall of in flames. It was more of a collective band decision to take a new direction in terms of sound

^^^ i agree. BUT minus jasper in that equation makes it worse. a sense of purpose at least had good, harmonized guitar work thanks to him. and, from this "deliver us" song that leaked on youtube in its entirety, the guitar work is very plain and rather uninspiring. which is why, i stated, "i really hope that it's the weakest song on the record. cause that was a pretty weak effort."

Its really the almost Maiden like guitar harmonys i always liked in thier 90s material. Whoracle was perfect melodic Swedish death metal to these ears, they havent come close to since . Think Jesper left for reasons other than health. we will find out soon enough i guess
