Crack The Skye was such an amazing album...I just wish they could sing the songs live without sounding terrible. It doesn't do the music justice.

I love Mastodon, but I've never thought they were a good live band... At least from everything I've seen...

Couldn't agree more...I saw this show early in their tour and was disappointed. Believe it or not, they're even better in this clip than what I experienced.

I'm definitely a fan of early and recent Mastodon and love Crack the Skye. For what it's worth, the show picked up once they got to the oldies. I was just giving them the benefit of the doubt by blaming the sound tech...not so sure anymore.

Big fan of this band, but I must say that performance in the video was really bad. They looked really uncomfortable singing clean vocals.
