Avenged Sevenfold Performs Live With New Drummer For The First Time

Alternative metal act Avenged Sevenfold performed live with its new drummer Arin Ilejay for the first time recently during its tour stop at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA. Fan filmed footage can be viewed below:

Avenged Sevenfold recently offered up the following statement in regards to its new drummer Arin Ilejay:

"We recently asked several friends who knew Jimmy and his style, and also knew our music and each of our personalities to suggest drummers to tour with us starting this year. Our longtime studio drum tech Mike Fasano recommended Arin Ilejay.

"We've rehearsed with Arin and have been impressed with his technical skills, attitude and work ethic. We're very excited to tour with Arin and hope all of you will give him the warm welcome to the family we have."

I know it was his first show, but I hope that his confidence begins to build up eventually! His head was kept down from what I saw at least. Once he develops his image, I have no doubt that he will be an appropriate fit for A7x. As long as he remains humble, is nice to everyone around him, and respects the memory and legacy of Jimmy, he will go far.

I also hope he knows how f***ing lucky he is! I play in front of hundreds of people, he plays in front of tens of thousands. I mildly wish A7x got a hold of me! ;)

Now you know, if Arin f***s up, I'm your guy! ;)
