This is the type of music that Portnoy has been wanting to play since Systematic Chaos. A style which he took Dream Theater off the rails attempting to pursue. I am really happy that he can now be true to himself without trying force a triangle block through a square hole. In the end, I am more excited for this next DT album then I have been in the past 11 years.
