Vocalist Maurizio Iacono of Canadian metal act Kataklysm has posted the third part in a track-by-track breakdown of the band's new album "Heaven’s Venom." Maurizio's description of the songs can be found below. "Heaven's Venom" is set to be released on August 13th in Europe and August 24th in North America.
“At the Edge of the World”: “Forget IN FLAMES and AT THE GATES! This song rivals the best of them in the melodic thrash area. This song will make many heads turn I think. Unleash your anger and bang your head! For when you feel like your suffocating and you’re at your breaking point. Standing at the edge of the world; will you jump or survive?”
“Suicide River”: “The most dark, melodic and dramatic song on the album. A gut gripping and very intense song, fast and mid paced without taking a breath. Deals with suicide and how easy it is to take that route versus living in this fucked up world.”
“Blind Savior”: “The slow finale. A very atmospheric song with a sharp edge. A sing along song it will make you think. Rivals are best slow songs like “Road to Devastation”. Song deals with questioning God and faith. Questions what you can’t see.
