hell yeah man!! i'll understand u not being able to get into mastodon that much kuz hell, it took me quite some time too lol it was the vox for me. i just couldn't get over it, but now, i just don't mind and love the music. BUT the almighty, gojira?!?! i can't even pinpoint ONE minor flaw in them. vox are amazing shouting'ish screams, awesome guitar work, prog drumming is precise, odd time signatures and changes threw out a song out amazingly NOT THAT out-of-wack. then what could it be??

just listen to NOTHING BUT their last 2 albums, from mars to sirius and the way of all flesh. awesome songs to check out BESIDES vacuity, are adoration for none (feat. randy f***in' blythe [LOG]), backbone (my fav), from the sky, global warming (a fan fav), ocean planet (a fan fav to play live), oroborus (another fav of mine), to sirius, and toxic garbage island.

fvck yeah dude!! best thing i can tell u man is just keep listening to them and eventually it'll grow on u. when i first heard them, i instantly liked the vox kuz, to me, it was different. he shouts, not screams, but then comes out with some badass growls every now and then. what turned me off at first was the odd dynamic and time signature changes kuz i'm not rlly into prog but then i learn to rlly enjoy it. plus their musical changes aren't as drastic as august burns red lol who i also love \m/
