I bet you anything they're making the full transition from Melodic Metalcore to Rockcore on this album. Two Weeks, Forever in your Hands and a few other songs on Overcome were total rock radio fodder. I hope im wrong, but i usually am not in these situations. Im calling it now.

caveman i honestly think Trivium was just experimenting because they went back to screaming and to making their music heavier. Selling out is more then just cutting out screaming. Selling out in my mind is taking a song and reediting it for the radio (like FFDP and The Bleeding) or doing tours with bands who aren't really in your same genre (metallica and Kid Rock?).

Caveman, Trivium definitely did not sell out, they just experimented a little. I actually happen to be wearing a sweet Trivium shirt right now. :P
All That Remains is one of the best bands I've seen live, Phil is one crazy motherf***er lol. Behind Silence and Solitude is one of my favourite albums. I hope they stop the transition to mainstream though, as Cowboy pointed out, Overcome had a lot of hints that they're about to sell out...we'll see i guess.

These guys have totally lost my interest. There was a few good songs on The Fall Of Ideals...but that's as far as I'll go. I've seen them live 4 times and each time they were at best average if not horrible. Phil blows his voice out partying too much apparently...3 out of 4 shows I've seen he's sounded absolutely aweful. Having said that...I'll stomach a listen just to see if I'm wrong about these guys but I'm leaning towards Midnight Cowboy's hypothesis...Rockcore is a fantastic name for it too btw.

"rockcore" lol gotta love u for that one cowboy bro. demise, u rlly should check out this darkenend heart and the fall of ideals, kuz those were their BEST albums. i agree that overcome was them being more "melodic metalcore" and trying to be more radio friendly, and i rlly hope this won't be their jump into the "rockcore basket" (lol, cowboy) but sadly, with a name like "for we are many", it sorta screams radio rock, especially since the name kinda makes me think of "10 thousand fists in the air" (disturbed, radio rock kings). and idk about these comments, like from ES, that they're horrible live, but i've only seen them twice and both times they not only got me moving but even singing along to even the overcome songs lol

Ambrish: Adam D. from KSE has actually produced all of their albums, so that's irrelevant. And if you haven't noticed, KSE is heading towards the sh**-can themselves.
Love Fall of Ideals era sh**, but this band DOES suck live (seen them 3 times) and this album will be overcome part 2.

a smashed drunk, 19 year old Midnightcowboy with the SHORTEST singer in metal, Phil Labonte after the philly date on the Fall Of Ideals tour :)
and IMO, Phil sucks live, the rest of the band is fine.

@ Token: Actually, all of their albums EXCEPT overcome were produced by Adam D....I don't think it's coincidence that Overcome has been their worst album to date...for me, the vocals and drums didn't have the same powerful sound as they do when Adam D produces....and even though most people don't like the direction that KSE has been going in, Adam always seems to leave those influences at the door when he produces other albums

^^^ very true Sdig.
nothing but love Demise.
MM: i agree with u on atr but as for the kingdom of sh** cmt, well, it's obvious what's my take on them lol i canNOT fvckin' stand it when a singer puts out another project but sings and sounds exactly the same as their main project. i'm NOT saying KoS is just like hatebreed, kuz they're NOT, of course, but damn, jamey's fvckin' monotone a$$ needs some singing lessons or something!!
