Avenged Sevenfold Comments On Mike Portnoy Joining Them On Tour

Band Photo: Avenged Sevenfold (?)
Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy recently announced he would be joining Avenged Sevenfold on their upcoming tour dates to sit in for the band's recently deceased drummer James Sullivan. Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance has now checked in with the following comments about the touring arrangement:
"After being so kind and caring to help us in the studio, the rumors are in fact true and Mike Portnoy will indeed be helping us on the upcoming Uproar tour later this year. We hope to see you all out on the road. We are very grateful to Mike for dedicating his time and talent to help us get back on the road so we can be where we need to be the most which is with our fans. Much Love and Respect."

This is strike 2. They didn't replace their drummer to record and now they're taking to the road with the same hired gun. Barring Portnoy joining A7X (I laugh a big belly laugh at that thought) this is a last chance ditch effort to dodge their unavoidable demise. I for one will be glad to see them go. Thier music makes "suck" look talented. Thank you Rev for doing your part in cleaning up the scene pool. Death to A7X and long live metal!!! \m/\m/

you do realize that he is not getting a break from touring or the studio. When they are going to be on tour is Portnoys time of the year to be with his family so he is making a HUGE sacrifice. a7x and a7x fans should be grateful to have such a great drummer to accompany them until they find a permanent drummer. GJ portnoy!

#26, LMAO so pyro technics, sh**ty music, and faggy haircuts/makeup makes a good show? I saw A7X when I went to see Atreyu, and the only part of the show I didn't hate was when Brandon from Bleeding Through (don't get me wrong, those guys are douchebags too) came on and did the vox for Pantera's walk. Even then, after the song was over I thought to myself..."How can these cheesed!cks actually muster up the balls to cover a Pantera song at a mallcore show??" lol

#32 - Heh, fair enough not liking being called gay (lets not go into that), but there's no need to diss people who are. And Halford is a fvcking Metal God, so slagging him could garner a fair bit of dislike for you than yourself merely defending A7x
You may not care, but meh.

A7X the most talented band out there?
Man, it's one thing to be a fan, but it's another thing to be a complete f*cktard about it.
Bands like Dream Theater, Rhapsody (of fire) and Opeth can play around in circles on A7X when it comes to talent. And sound better too.

BG1: I love the history of the presidential assassinations and the conspiracy that follows it.
Not to wish anything against your president.
The music scene and the music conventions.
Big fan of Pantera and would love to see some Dimebag memorabilia and even visit his grave and share a blacktooth or two.
I don't know man, just a fan of alot of music and the history that's gone on within the U.S.
Your woman are fine as hell ,as well man!
Cheers bro!
